I dunno. I suspect he got fired, but I could also have seen him chimping out at any slight criticism from his manager. I could see him responding to criticism with "screw you, bigot. I am plenty good. You're just a Trump supporting Republican. Moooo! I quit!". But as someone pointed out the time of the job loss was right around the end of the probationary period of this new job, so it would make sense that he was let go.

I don't think he'll work again. And I have a hunch whoever the tard wrangler who got him this job to begin with won't want to get him another one. But we could be wrong. None of us thought Lucas would ever actually go back to school or get a part-time job, but he did both. Not that he was successful at either, but he did actually follow through and do them. Albeit with great assistance.

But with him being a nursing home resident, his wranglers may think that working is not in the cards anymore.

1) You don't "make about $24k a year when working" - You worked about a month out of the past, what, 20 years? That's an insanely tiny sample size to draw from as a basis for your earnings. This implies that your regular state of being is that of an employed person or at least it's a regular occurrence. Neither of those are true.
2) "After all expenses paid...." What expenses? Taxes? Tugboat witholdings? The cost (likely not paid by you) to get you to the job? You aren't running a business where there are expenses like power/payroll etc.
3) "I can keep half that or do with as I please"....what? Keeping "half that" IS doing as you please. There's no need to state both.

napkin math says if he was making WA state minimum wage ($16.28/hr) part-time then he was working around 30hrs/wk. that seems odd to me. usually warehouse positions are all FT with busy day OT, or PT with "OT" that doesn't exceed 8 per day or 38 per week on a just-in-time schedule. OT adds up very quickly. then again i never worked walmart and maybe my recollection is very different for how that sort of thing is set up these days.

edit: the above doesn't account for his disability disbursements and Lucas would of course include that as part of his "earnings". so likely is 20 or under per week added to disability would get up to $24k/yr maybe... assuming he worked more than just a month or two before getting fired/quitting.
