To put things in perspective, the thread had just reached 500 pages when I finally joined in december. Thats 300 pages of evidence of lucas's increasing insanity in six months, or 50 pages per month
But of course lucas doesn't see how that makes him look or how his behavior generated that much evidence of how mental he is
The fact that his behavior led to nearly the same amount of pages generated in 6 months as in the previous 4 years should be a huge red flag for his current mental state and shows how quickly he is descending into becoming an insane homeless creeper

These “memes” Lucas manufactures really brings out the shallow nature of his personality. Lucas doesn’t understand how these image macros work, that they are supposed to connect with people through a shared experience. The “Scumbag Steves” and “Bad Luck Brians” of the internet are something like fairy tale tropes where the image of a dour urban white kid or the overly eager youth with braces creates associations that prepare us for the text superimposed onto the image. The familiarity they generate is comforting and the text is supposed to be something relatable but not often acknowledged.
Lucas largely lives in his own head where he crafts simplistic narratives and then projects them onto everything he sees. He assumes the truth of these projections and does not ask the question “does everyone agree?” Lucas has been developing this mythology about “Generation Z” overwhelmingly having these communistic sympathies and barely concealed disgust towards capitalism and assumes this is a sociological fact that has gained widespread acceptance. This activity has progressed to the point that Lucas earnestly believes that the assumptions he has are held universally; so he takes selfies and plasters whatever talkingpoint is consuming him at the moment over said selfie and proceeds to share it as if he is actually connecting with people.
Obviously he is connecting with no one. The images themselves are off putting because they are a failed simulacrum of genuine human expression. The overlaying text is bewildering to people who haven’t learned Lucas’ political pigeon speech. The combination of both image and text becomes something greater than the sum of its two parts, it is essentially an invitation into the world of Lucas Werner where he is the only long term resident and he seems perpetually engaged in some kind of performance for an audience of shadows.
We really are nothing more than mere tourists coming to gawk at an internet freakshow. The people that reach out to Lucas are, in essence, just rowdy patrons banging on the bars of Lucas’ cage to elicit a more animated response.
