Surely some of these agencies are wise to bums' malingering suicidal ideation, to score a bed for the winter. If they had Lucas's number on that one, I could totally see them sticking him in Mallon, even among a generally older clientele, to avoid his abuse of stabilization....when frankly they should have tossed his ass back out on the street.I think it was Frontier Behavioral Health that place him there to be monitored and medicated so he would not end up back at Calispel for "stabilization".
It's funny; everyone has heard horror stories about the mental health social service system, the way they treat people, and the way they abuse funding, but there's abuse on both ends, as Lucas clearly proves.
