That very well could be. When you think of nursing homes, generally you think of old people. However, that isn't always the case. There is a facility in my city that seems similar to Mallon Place. It is an assisted living facility, but if you go past there, you see lots of shady looking people outside smoking, most appear in their 30s or 40s. If you look this place up online, there is not much info on it. Kind of like Mallon Place.
I think some nursing homes will accept anyone with SSI, SSDI, or even a VA pension or disability. People who cannot maintain housing elsewhere or the exceptional. Like Lucas. I question how much medical care Lucas is getting there, besides having his medicine handed to him.
It would be interesting for Spokane Kiwis to go by Mallon Place and see who is hanging around outside there. If it is mostly senior citizens living there, then almost no one will be hanging around outside. If it is a reject home, you will see shady characters and ragmen.
