We know that at some point his mom punished him, or had to keep him away from the cats because he mistreated them, and Suzanne felt strongly enough about his attitude re: pets to take the cats with her when she left her own place, so I think we can read into that that at the very least Lucas isn't too nice to animals. But it's understandable, because Lucas doesn't care about anything other than Lucas.

Which brings up another point, I suspect thats only one of the reasons lucas targeted cats. His abusive behavior patters with animals is like his abusive behavior patters with humans - he goes after the smaller, weaker, less able to defend themselves target cause he thinks he is more likely to be able to get away with it. There is a post by someone here who was in a cat group with Suzanne. In reference to the Creep Suzanne said the Creep being mean to her cats should have been a red flag.

That's the thing though, if Lucas doesn't want to fuck you and you avoid his 'triggers', he can come off as normal and personable.

It's only after he gets comfortable in the "friendship" that he starts turning into a bratty jackass, then will blame the other person for 'attacking him' or some other equal bullshit.

He's a dumb predator, but he can still manage basic level manipulation that tricks people at the start if they don't know who he is or don't have much backstory on him. He's very, very good (in private) at making himself look like a harassed and bullied victim who has done nothing wrong. The bitch can cry on command if he thinks it'll get someone to feel bad for him.

He's just not smart enough to keep it up long term or keep it up in any situation where he has to be face to face with someone because his body language and tone give it all away.
