Then again, the last time that I checked, if you were becoming "Facebook official" with somebody else, and you were the one to write the post, your new partner got a pop-up message asking them to either confirm or deny this. If they said yes, his or her name would appear in the announcement. Otherwise, you would just get the generic "So-and-so is in a relationship" status (without saying with who) if the other person either said no, or didn't want to make that information public just yet.
