True, I'd imagine that he'd been bumped off somehow given that he's caused enough trouble in the local area.

There's also those recent threats of him committing suicide if he didn't have a girlfriend aged 18-25 in seven years, but I do wonder if he moved that deadline closer and followed through with it.

That could also be true, especially if he was cooking with seafood. Even the most slightly undercooked or rotten lobster, scallop or crab can be absolutely lethal.

Edit: is anyone able to take a peak at the Facebook pages of Lucas' parents? I'd guess that they'd be the ones to confirm or deny the death.

If that's the case, I'd definitely put my money on a troll trying to hijack Lucas' Facebook account. It's possible that all of this could've happened in five hours, but seeing as it usually takes hours (if not days or weeks) to get a death certificate chances are slim.

Agreed. I see people talking about it in a post that tagged his profile and apparently sometimes reports sent saying someone is dead will just be automatically approved for whatever reason. If he actually died, I can't imagine his family's first priority would be tell FB - unless they're more like him than I think.

I do wonder who now has control of Lucas' account, and what they intend to do with it. Once a user is reported as dead they can't get it reversed, nor do they have access to all of the same features as a "live" account. So, Lucas can either use his old profile, or make a new one from scratch.

Yeah, I see his old account is visible again now. Was there ever an explanation as to why it disappeared for several days?

Lol, yeah, it's gone forever. So I assume we'll have some incoming hysterical rage soon when he wakes up- it's only 8 am and he was bitching about waking up before 0730 earlier this week. He might not even have seen it yet.
 
There is a possibility his mother decided to take a far more active role in his mental health care and one of her first courses of action was to diminish his social media presence. There is also the greater possibility of trolls.

His mom fucked off to Arizona and I don't blame her. She's been pretty hands off til now, so that's pretty unlikely.

Plus it accomplishes nothing. He can just make new FBs.

As of lately, Facebook has made it a bit more difficult to establish a new account. Along with an email, you are required to provide a phone number. If your phone number is already in use, then you can't make another account. I don't really see Lucas getting a burner phone to establish more and more accounts.

As far as his mother is concerned, while she's in Arizona, it was mentioned earlier in the thread that she may have had a hand in him being forced to go to a treatment facility.

Yeah, it's pretty easy to get a textfree or a google voice number though. Also probably pretty easy to Photoshop a death certificate to fool Facebook's minimum wage outsourced employees who probably look at this sort of thing. It just doesn't seem likely that his mom would jump to "welp, better tell everyone he died".

I'm not sure how I'd actually feel if Lucas died. Part of me would be relieved for the people of Spokane, another would feel saddened by the reality of no new content.


We'll find out what has happened soon enough.
