Long time student of Wernology, first time poster. One of my favorite things about Luke is how his stupidity and penchant for lying lead to major inconsistencies in his stories. For years his excuse for leeching off the government has been his diagnosis of bi-polar. He has bi-polar, so he can’t work.

Some time last year he got it into his gourd that he’s an empath, and since lack of empathy is a sign of bi-polar, he must not be bi-polar. Just yesterday in one of his street rants he again mentioned his diagnosis as “unofficial”. Ok, so if he doesn’t have bi-polar, surely there is nothing holding him back from getting a job, right?!

Good point. Captures an interesting dynamic where Lucas trivializes his shortcomings even as he emphasizes them.

One of Lucas's chief narratives is "there is nothing wrong with me, there is something wrong with the world." It's the kind of thing someone repeats when they know there's plenty wrong with them, and find that fact unacceptable or inconvenient.

Once, Lucas would own his schizo shit. Now he won't even cop to being bipolar without an asterisk. That he's on disability, has a long history of psychiatric confinement with years inside laughing academies, and functions so poorly he's got a payee? Lucas just doesn't like capitalism, which is bad.

Capitalism fails, not Lucas, who didn't even graduate high school. That's why he doesn't do adult shit at 40.

It's kind of sad, but mostly funny, watching Lucas struggle to present and understand himself in ways that are desireable and acceptable.

The facts are stark and well documented: a history of failure, illness and dysfunction that could be pathetic if he weren't such a monstrous asshole with such gross expectations and desires.

But Lucas wants to impregnate a teenager, and admitting the truth of his life does not support his goal. Or give him any reason to continue being Lucas. So he will continue to try to find ways to portray himself as an operational human, all the while fully embracing the aid provided for the truly fucked.

Eta: I don't believe Lucas's fascination with board games is merely a mating strategy, or a way to impress Zoomer wombs. But he's tried to use it as one anyway, which is weird. There must be better ways to impress young girls with your desirability as a 40 year old mate. It almost humanizes him that he has a hobby that does not involve ejaculating in, or anally torturing, teenagers. But that he lost the trappings of his hobby in pursuit of his madness is hilarious.

As far as I know, yeah. It's legal in WA but, honestly, for a lot of people with mental illness (especially if otherwise unmedicated) high THC can make their symptoms worse, doubly so for mental illness that has characteristics of wild mood swings, paranoid/delusional thinking, or hallucinations of any kind. Regardless of whether he's bipolar, schizoaffective, schizophrenic, autistic, or a combination of those, high THC is very, very likely to just amplify his symptoms.

He'd be way better off, most likely, going with high CBD strains that have low THC content if he's trying to self medicate with it. That would be way less likely to make his manic episodes as manic as they are. High CBD strains would be more likely to even his moods out and keep him relatively calm, just not high.

Don't know whether his mother did but he definitely has admitted to it. It was part of his reflections back in 2010 where he talked about how he was doing some correspondence course with the university of arizona back in the late 90s - early 2000s to get some high school credits he 'didn't quite get at the time' or something to that effect. in other words he didn't have enough credits to graduate high school. He never finished the program as evidenced more recently by his retconning this piece of his past when he signed up for college and admitting the school couldn't find his records to prove he graduated high school (because he bs'd them and claimed he did but couldn't provide actual transcript proof, cause it didn't exist. if he had graduated it would be easy to contact his old school and get a transcript proving it) which is why they dumped him in the high school level classes for burnouts and people trying to get their GEDs

Lucas is a great case study on working to control these incel thoughts. Many of them have these similar thoughts about assuming everyone else is in relationships, having sex constantly, they're all bigots trying to hold you down, stuck needing that 'teen love' that we missed. Lucas is definitive outlier proof of what can happen to you if you don't check yourself before you wreck yourself.

I find it remarkable if only because it's part of a pattern, and gives us an insight into how functional he was during the pivotal "teen love" part of his life where the Gen X wombs eluded him. Didn't fail at school because he's dumb, but rather socially and psychologically a mess, and that's relevant to the cow.

If his HS failure was his sole lolcow credential, who cares? Part of a pattern of never succeeding at anything and being taken care of by others? That's interesting to me, especially considering how he presents himself.
