It’s especially convenient since Spokane is pretty heavy Trump country and I haven’t been over during Covid but I suspect a LOT of people aren’t wearing masks. So, darn, such tough luck for Luke, he can’t talk to any women because of his impeccable morals

I think he’s terrified of rejection, he’s probably faced a lot in various ways in his life and is just tired of it. If he convinces himself that he is rejecting them it is easier to deal with for him than being the one that is rejected. I believe he DOES want a zoomer bae, but he also can’t stand putting himself out there and risking rejection so he finds reasons not to.
