Horrifying. Only word I can come up with. He has no idea what age some of them are. Its predatory.
Agreed.
Let's all remember, myself included, that behavior like this is why it's totally unnecessary to ever interact with Lucas directly or indirectly.
As with all the best cows, Lucas is his own worst enemy, and makes the best material when left to his own devices, because the prison of his own mind is the horrible creative space that gives birth to the comedy we seek.
More than even his mental illnesses, or his sloth, or his narcissism, Lucas is a cow because of his perspective. His way of looking at the world which is disgusting, predatory, and uniquely hilarious.
I think part of the struggle with lucas, and with other cows, is that everyone has a tendency to attempt to approach them, or troll them, through the same channels that were used with CWC.
At the very beginning of the thread, when people were starting to catfish lucas, someone commented that they didn't think his reaction was what they had expected, and they didn't think catfishing was the right sort of way to deal with this particular cow.
I've come to realize that ANY interactions with lucas, even the ones I myself have participated in, are ultimately beside the point, because Lucas becomes slightly more normal when he interacts with normal people.
Left to his own devices, however, he's as weird as he will be on his own, and by himself.
So necessarily, offering Lucas money to do funny things, or trying to interview him to get little details of his past out, may seem funny in the short term, but Lucas, sensing curiosity, will snap shut like a clam.
He realizes that he has things to hide, and so when questioned he gets defensive. But you know when he's not defensive? When he's making these ridiculous videos that no one prompts him to make.
Left to his own devices, and given enough time, Lucas will admit all the most horrible things about himself.
His inability to stop talking is probably the most damaging aspect of his behavior, in terms of his reputation and future as a semi-functional adult.
I know this has been said before, and probably doesn't need saying again, but I wanted to say it myself: hands-off is the way that Lucas produces the most hilarious material. Period.
