"Mad at the Internet" - a/k/a My Psychotherapy Sessions

Are people really getting "immersed" in the game when jersh is making jokes about sargoyles and the sound effects are turned down so he can talk over them? I'm not buying it. I also don't think 'it's extra so if you don't like it just don't watch it' really apply when you're changing something that already exists. I liked the life is strange streams in no small part because they still had their chat.
I for one am grateful to finally get that behind the scenes look on the fall of UKIP. I never knew that it didn't die just because of the actions of the Sargoyle but instead it died because the UKIP people pods were blown up by Nick Gur and the no chin squad. Also a based Iraqi stabbed a bunch of 'em with a big fuckoff piece of metal.

@Null I'd like to strongly disagree with your decision to remove chat from the House of Ashes video. I couldn't watch live so I'm currently watching the VOD now and already miss it not twenty minutes in. Plus once the video gets removed from the MATI channel the live chat will be probably lost permanently as I doubt any of the archives will have it.

This might be unfounded but I also worry this is a step towards becoming just another generic "youtuber". I've never really got the appeal of following a personality on youtube but I gave MATI a chance both because of the subject and because it seemed genuine. Not showing your face to me said 'not a narcissist' and having a visible chat you interact plus no super chats really made it seem like you were streaming because you wanted to have fun. I don't begrudge you taking super chats now especially with all the other bullshit you have to deal with (PATH, regular DDOS attacks, lawsuits, etc.) but I see no upside to removing the chat especially if you're still having super chats show up.

Hope this wasn't too gay and parasocial.
My computer is about to die and so it took me multiple tries over multiple days but I should have an archive of these two streams with chat on the righthand side of the screen. First one is uploaded - second is fully recorded, all will be uploaded in the next few days (with chat and without chat).

Great show, but I still l haven't forgot about the Lowtax stream. I know things are hectic right now and Lowtax isn't going to get more dead, but it would be nice to hear the stories you have about Something Awful.
@Null , apologies if I'm forgetting or never heard/noticed that this may have already been addressed, but I have an idea for getting donations in another way that would also be engaging for viewers with an element of reward.
Josh just likes to share his gay music with us, some of it is good I admit.
Seeing all the screeching at cloudflare from the Ralphamale & tranny army alliance, I wonder- what are the actual ramifications of CF dropping the site?
According to this it doesn't actually help protect from DDOS, right? So why is it actually needed?
They're the domain registrar, use to be dreamhost but they came out as transgender so it was a conflict of interest.
Null could definitely be a successful mainstream streamer once all the hysteria around trannies turns the corner and people accept they are doing genital lobotomies.
I think he has a higher chance of becoming an Israeli lobbyist, and I'm not sure Josh streams would be the same if I couldn't read Nigger and Kike in the chat every 20 seconds. It's part of the experience.

Did something happen again?

Wasn't 1776 hosting the registrar? And what alternative would be available if cloudflare were to drop support?
1776hosting was just a hosting service that Null ran, it's entirely different from pointing domains to servers. I assume you have to be of Jewish descent to operate a domain registrar in the United States, or at least have a lot of money to exercise your supposed first amendment right of calling people retards on the internet. He shut down 1776hosting as far as hosting non-Josh servers because trannies decided to break the law and ddos the servers when Byuu decided to pretend he commited suicide, at least from what I remember. You can read about it here.

I forgot to say, but he mentioned somewhere in the Keffals thread that he would most likely move the registrar to Russia, which means censoring anything about Russian citizens or whatever they decide on a whim.

Since there is so much information that would have to be covered on Lowtax, it might be more manageable to do separate steams segmented as SA's chronology (rise in 1999-2004; stagnation in 2004-2009; collapse in 2009 onward) or just on specific interesting topics.

Some sperging about SA ahead:
Personally, I'd like to see Null's take on Helldump, a sort of proto-Kiwi Farms that existed on SA from 2007 to 2009 and became so cancerous that Lowtax himself returned out of his benzo-induced stupor to shut it down. Helldump began as a way to chronicle and make fun of demented goons, probably the most entertaining of which was Two Worlds, who had a lot of parallels with Chris-Chan. Eventually, Helldump ran out of entertaining targets and began attacking anyone insufficiently left-wing, including Lowtax. Jeb Lund, who was one of the first FYAD guys to become a faggy Gawker-sphere writer, was arguably the most prominent Helldump poster. Zoe Quinn also briefly posted there as well, I believe. Worst of all, though I can't confirm it originated there, the first time I ever saw the phrase "don't pozload my negholep" (edit: that phrase is so hated that it is word-filtered lol) was in Helldump.

Helldump went from one of the funniest forums to genuinely the most miserable place online I have ever encountered before it was mercy-killed. It appears to barely even be a footnote in SA's history today though:

If Null does decide to a 2 -3 part series about something awful, it could be gumroad material as the stream goes over Lowtax himself while doing mini streams on the different eras of SA.

Dunno if you're kidding but Cathedral is a Moldbug term (his greatest contribution, imo). /edit - oh I see you already know that.

This isn't an original idea but I think you should stream horror walking simulators during October. Halloween is the best holiday and I think we would all enjoy hearing the delicate dulcet tones of Null's screams.

@Null I have found the perfect game for you and it's currently free on Steam

"Free" and "free to play" are two very different things. This thing sells you premium currency in packs of up to fifty bucks, that's a massive red flag right there.
