“Mexican food is absolutely atrocious, though. The chillis are there to hide the taste of poor quality ingredients, not enhance the flavour.”
This is actually true, though. Mexico is a sweltering shit hole that still has yet to catch up to modern standards for refrigeration and safe food handling in many areas and took multiple excess decades to get up to even that point. Authentic spic food has no dairy, hence why you can rustle the jimmies of a hardcore SJW just by adding sour cream to your burrito. The authentic way is to rarely have fresh anything, eating mainly meat preserved in salt and chili powder/paste (this is how the original dish got its name), rehydrated rice, corm meal bases and rehydrated beans. Fresh meat could/can only be eaten on the day of slaughter, so fresh beef was/is a rare treat while fresh chicken was generally a weekly thing. (Spics still obsess over keeping chickens regardless of ghetto conditions because of this.) Fresh fruits and vegetables could/can only be eaten while they were/are in season. Anything involving fresh ingredients that don't become available simultaneously in the same area in Mexico is new age. ETA: The idea of "authentic" spic food containing something like shrimp is hysterical. That's Spanish European fare at the closest.

Chilis were/are very heavily relied on to cover up the taste of shitty, preserved ingredients with no flavor. They just got so used to the stuff that it's in fucking everything those people eat, including their goddamn chocolates and fruit gummies.

You can offer british people the most high quality groceries for a low price, but they still don't know how to cook an edible meal with them.
Anyone who doubts this needs to watch Secret Eaters, Supersize vs Superskinny and the other similar adjacent Bri'ish food themed shows about food lifestyle.

Mexican food can be good when you are drunk, but it is absolutely all the same kind of greasy slop assembled in 20 slightly different ways.
That's not even the biggest problem, the biggest fucking irritation is the amount of corn. It's a completely inescapable part of the diet, as everything's either eaten with a corn tortilla or fried in corn oil

That one’s featured on the front page :)
Sorry fren I only usually read this thread and a couple if others, I'm unlikely to see any front page happenings (though I see you are correct). I saw this news on twitter, came and found the KF CRP thread and linked it here since it's mati-worthy.

Never seen these shows but going by the titles it sounds like they're about chavs, not food. I'd bet a week's wages that these are shows about insane people ("Tonight on Secret Eaters we meet Andrea, and she has a secret she's been hiding for years - she's addicted to vinegar! She literally can't eat anything that isn't swimming in fucking vinegar!" am I right?)

"[Fredrik Knudsen] said that everyone on the forum is like heavily autistic and they only make fun of lolcows 'cause they're spergs themselves."
He's right to some extent. But to be honest, he did grift off of Lolcows. And the suggestion that he "isn't a sperg" is blatantly hypocritical. The latest "project" is an attest to that. VTuber shit is autism in its more pure form, bordering on Cowdom. Made by spergs, for spergs.

The one thing they bring up for this is the Cheddar Man statue, which has already been confirmed to have most likely not been black at all.
The main problem, as I see it, is that whilst it's technically correct that there would have been the odd black Legionary or the occasional nog brought back to Britain by an explorer or w/e, these people would have been one in one hundred thousand of the population and most definitely not representative of a "Proud, important lineage of British Kangs going back to stone henge and utterly indispensable to British history" or whatever the fuck they're trying to claim when they do this stuff.

Not at all, but there is an American show about exactly that, so I can't blame you for your mind going there. It's called either Freak Eaters or Freaky Eaters, IIRC. But these older food shows out of Bongland that I'm talking about are actually pretty legit. Most, if not all of them are available for free on Youtube, unlike the TLC shows on fat fucks that they obsessively hoard.

In celebrating of five years of being MatI, I took the liberty of downloading all the episodes from 2018-2021 that either aren't on the official Mad at the Internet Odysee page or aren't on the RSS feed. I'm linking two Mega folders, one that contains the episodes from 2018 and 2019, and one that contains episodes from 2020 to mid 2021. I have them saved as mp4 files as well, but it's about 80gb in total so for now, you'll have to make do with this.

I think one of the only possible mentions of black people in any ancient historical text that I am aware of is in Herodotus though for the life of me I don't remember the section or chapter. He mentions something along the lines of "the people here have skin blackened by the sun." However I have been told that in the original Greek it is unlikely he is explicitly describing a person with black skin, just someone with skin darker than the average Greek at the time.

Was there a stream where Null talked about the man-hate thread?
He has featured content from that thread a few times just recently. Other than that, I don't think so. I'm sure he has a lot of mixed feelings about addressing it directly, especially considering his relatively recent statement about having to walk on eggshells to avoid upsetting the Lost Boys in his audience. Which is incredibly ironic, but I digress.
