The story about the Butcher of Bakersfield was so infamous that they made a bad movie about it, then someone went back in time and wrote a way better short novel with the same character in a totally different scenario in the 1970s! Bizarre, eh?

Slight correction to the Jeffery Dahmer Chinese or Japanese Laotian boy lover story. The kid was 14 years old and was brain damaged due to Dahmer drilling a hole in his head and pouring in HCl (not sure the conc.) or boiling water. The kids language center was destroyed, he could’t string together a sentence due to the remaining grey matter barely being able to recognize language. The more fucked up thing is that the kid was looking for his brother who Dahmer raped and murdered before him. Dahmer drugged his drink and assraped him prior to the amateur surgery.


Dahmer was a known animal abuser for years, his father was an important chemist and tried to do his best with Jeff. Some point in time he lets Jeff get into some of his reagents in the shed because Jeff tells him that he’s into taxidermy. His dad didn’t know about the abuse until the murder trial, btw. Dahmer admitted to dissolving mice in HCl. He killed his first person post-graduation when his mom left him alone all summer during the divorce.

I have my bias because Dahmer’s dad seemed to always try to do right by his son. He didn’t know his son was a monster, just at most a faggot who he and his wife failed to raise.

Responding to my own post, but Dahmer is someone who I’d consider a lolcow turned into a monster. There’s a comic book by a childhood friend or Dahmer that’s autobiographical. It’s done in a style that resembles Robert Crumb’s.

It goes over him being a drunk who acted out in school, regularly did dumb shit for beer money, somehow getting a tour of the capital, and other things. It’s very melodramatic and there was a good series from the 2000’s about it too.

My Friend Dahmer. I haven't read the comic book but they turned it into a movie that was, well, merely okay.

It’s very much the artist doing sad narration. It’s worth a read if you are interested in Dahmer, but honestly I do find the Dad the most interesting.

The Mom seemed kind of crazy. The Dad I have some interest in because he more talks about his kid I think to educate people out of guilt. He was a neglectful parent and admits such, but he tried to help his son a lot and I can kinda respect even if it was hiring a lawyer because his faggot son was creeping on kids. He tried to take responsibility for his mistake.
