This is the most hilarious AI voice and script I've heard since the AI nigger and spic news report.

JC Denton from Deus Ex voicing it make it about 50% funnier.

(is that wind sound effects in the background from the first level of the game?)

idk

I love corporate ***** up my *** so much everyone who's against the ideas of intellectual property the issue isn't intellectual property it's overly broad intellectual property laws libertarians try not to be ******** on any ideology challenge impossible.
This is the farms, why are you self censoring? Either use crude words or don't. Don't sit in this awkward middle ground where you kinda imply a bad word because you really want that emphasis, but can't bring yourself to type out nigger dick.

There's an issue with patents and copyrights being overly broad abolish them immediately.
If you drop a small wrench off a building the momentum it reaches can literally split someones head open and that's why we have safety regulations because you're not just endangering yourself your body can become a lethal projectile.
Same stupid level of argumentation when it comes to abolish all copyright abolish all patents.

Regulatory capture exist therefore all regulation bad therefore free market therefore free market equals good therefore free market libertarians and the ideology exists really well in their head so does communism.
Copyright is a flawed application of property rights. You can only own an idea for so long as you can keep that idea secret. As such the only advantage the creator of a work should have is first mover status and reputation.

Copyright discourages derivative works and competition. Abolish copyright and embrace the wild notion that the world is a better place when information flows freely.

Honestly copyright and patents are outdated and need to be fixed. Disney and other media conglomerates have fucked these systems up. The whole point of a copyright period was because of how long distribution took before we had same day delivery and digital downloads. Now it's just a way for these companies to milk their franchise forever.

Medicine patents are equally fucked up. If I had my way, patents for medicine would become public domain after 4 years so they can be cheaply mass produced and the free market can drive down drug costs. This gives research facilities 4y to recoup their R&D costs which should be enough for them to function without bleeding the public dry indefinitely for necessary drugs

I made a ringtone of Jim laughing at this when he first learned of the term "Moon cricket" on his first Odysee stream in 2022.

Odysee put out an announcement video on moving forward.
You gotta try and stomach it, I think they are avoiding censorship by turning the platform into a solar system or something, the video wasn't too clear.

Supermarkets are also making record profits, while Americans are paying more and more money for groceries. There's no supply shortage or anything, it's just greed and big supermarkets having a monopoly.

It’s nice to know that you’re a retarded faggot. Notice the word “revenue” that is used. That’s not profits. Not even understanding that basic premise of business makes sense as to why the rest of your thinking on this is retarded nigger shit.

Profit margins for grocery stores is notoriously low, probably the lowest profit margin of any industry. Typical profit margin for grocers is 1%, with 2% to 3% being the upper margin.

The cost being added on is largely due to inflation, which has been 18% over the past 4 years, you braindead nigger. Rise of labor costs in the supply chain plays a significant role. Part of that rise, asides from inflation, is underemployment for crucial vectors like truck drivers and warehouse workers. Grocery stores have a very long supply chain of labor associated with their goods and those extra costs get tacked on each step of the way as wages rise to related to gov’t mandates, underemployment and retaining current workers. And costs at the end of that chain would be even higher if grocers hadn’t already cannibalized their workforce over the past several years, specifically by eliminating cashier jobs in favor of self checkout and by running departments on skeleton crews.

It never ceases to amuse me how the dumbest faggots in the world, who clearly and obviously don’t know shit about what they’re talking about, are always so vocal and adamant about their retarded proclamations.

You should be embarrassed to be this uselessly stupid.

Because I made it 3 seconds on the video, here's a transcript:

Oh, I'm free! Finally! Odyssey is back! Oh hi everyone, I'm Sam Tucker from Odyssey. And you've probably been wondering why we've been silent the past few months. As if we've been frozen in some carbon neutral carbonite. Well, it's because we've been doing some reflecting. You see, our original mission at Odyssey was to offer creators freedom through a decentralized platform that would be immune from outside pressures. Social, economic, and all that stuff.

0:00:34
However, the technology we were using just wasn't able to fulfill this dream. But now, in 2024, we've discovered the secret techno source that will not only revolutionise Odyssey, but the entire global digital media industry. Introducing Odyssey AI! Okay, no, it's not AI, don't worry. Ladies and gentlemen, I'm so happy to say that Odyssey will be using Arweave technology!

0:01:07
And that is what we've been working on. But we couldn't tell you because we wanted to wait until the time was just right. And when the lawyers said we could.

And so join me as I describe the intense complexities of this decentralised media ecosystem. Let's go!

Ah, who put this space plane so far away? So, the current internet works a little bit like a solar system, where each platform has their own little planet, such as X has Sir Twitter, Twitch has Neptune, and YouTube has YouTube Arenas. And creators have to fly over to each planet to drop off their videos. or whatever other content they have, and then pack up and fly off again to a different planet to put their content there. Which is a little bit time consuming, and so realistically there's only a few planets people bother visiting. Usually the big players that already have the audience. And so, it's pretty tough for new and smaller platforms to compete. Like little Pluto here. Hi everyone, it's me Pluto! People don't think I'm a planet, but I totally am! Shut up! Join me today! Well, they have to compete with the resources of the big planets. and maintain their own websites and hosting and everything. And if people do end up going to Pluto and it does get popular, well, it could end up just getting blown up by a giant Death Star. At any time. And the system's not that great for creators either, as it limits your reach to just a couple of platforms. And if you get kicked off a planet, then you lose the audience you built there. And then you're just floating in space like Kanye West's career. Well, at Odyssey, they knew there had to be a better way. And after much meditation, they hit upon the answer. What if, instead of uploading to individual planets, instead, what if you uploaded to the stars? This is the Arweave Network, where each little star is a little piece of content. Like, look, here's a cat getting fat. Oh, and there, we have an article about a farticle. I might read that. It all exists here in the decentralized open source star system. You see, in this new system, rather than planets each hosting the content themselves, instead, the planets just look up to the stars. and choose what content they want on their platform. Then they essentially suck it down to their planet using this, the vacuum of space. And this decentralized media ecosystem, where the content is separate from the platforms, is very robust and works out great for everyone, such as... For creators, you'll no longer be at the mercy of just a couple of really big powerful platforms. Because now, if a creator gets kicked off of one planet, well, that's fine. Because their content has probably already been sucked down to a bunch of other planets. Thereby increasing their reach and making the creator very happy. Because they're getting sucked all over the universe. Oh, plus, creators, you get to set the terms of how your content shows up on these planets. Whether you need to be reimbursed for it, or whether it's free, or if there's some platforms that you don't want to show up on. It's all under your control. Let's talk about platforms. It's great for them too, because if one of your platforms does get shot down by a Death Star, well, That's no big deal. Because you can spin up a brand new planet with all the content the old one had. Because again, the content didn't exist on the planet that got blown up, it's in the network. And so the new planet can just suck down the content the old one had, and you're back in business. And for the users, it's great for you too. because there'll be a lot more options of platforms and creators for you to choose from to be entertained by. Which means you won't be limited to just the big brand-friendly ones that get shoved down your throat. And so that is where Odyssey is heading. Big ideas and all it'll take now is a buttload of button pressing, so we've got some work to do. Follow on the journey by following the channel as we build the future!

Future!

So, um, front-end for IPFS?

I mean, it's not like the White House is known for "reinterpreting" reports to make the voters more favorable to their regime administration 4 months out from an election.

I'd be interested to see the actual report and the data they based that off. Bbl gonna go read boring government reports

Attached is a report from March.

Ok, read through the summary and here are the highlights.
* Big firms were able to use leverage against suppliers in the form of raising existing late fees to incentivize priority delivery that the little groceries didn't have.
* They also don't depend as much on promotions income as much as the little guys do and since producers/suppliers were also getting squeezed they cut costs and limited their promotions to focus on the more profitable firms.
* Percent of revenue that was profit for the big firms from 2020-2023 was <2% growth

"the White House said"

Are you really expecting the standing President's office to report economic news in good faith DURING AN ELECTION YEAR.

"Yes food prices are way up, but it's THE SUPERMARKET'S FAULT."
Yes I do believe that big grocers like Walmart having an almost total monopoly in the US is bad and leads to them being able to set the prices however they want to make profits without caring about people struggling to afford food. If you have anything that says otherwise then you're welcome to post it.

I think it's a pretty safe bet to say Its both Inflation and Companies using inflation to justify more than adequate price hikes.

They literally did the same thing during covid, as well as with shipping along with using that excuse for shipping delays just to not pay more to get things sent in on time. Least that's what happened on my end for getting material in.

Edit: They'll also still layoff employees while still jacking prices up more than is needed.
