Like tacos soft shell is the way to go unless you have a serious need for hard, and even then you need some serious weight in a hard shell to make it worthwhile. Soft also allows some extra packing if you force it.

On the subject of adblockers I was just issued a government contracter computer which I am required to watch literally hours of training videos on

The video are on YouTube with ads enabled

So I ask them (the government IT people) to install the government adblocker, or whatever other adblocker, because there’s no way the US fucking government is making its workers watch mandatory ads and you’ll never fucking believe it but they are.

block on a dns level if you cant install shit to the device
you can also block on the device without installing anything by modifying /etc/hosts, this guide says it works on windows as well but i dont know if true

Soft shell for Travel Pro

Hard or soft shell for Tumi and B&R.

Personally I prefer soft shell because of all the pockets and zippers and stuff but if you need extra protection from the elements, go with hard shell.
Soft shell is more versatile IMO too. If you're upgrading from a Marlboro duffle bag, Id recommend soft shell.

Also I think that schizo from the Fediverse Borzoi is somehow involved with him. If you don't want to watch, Brian walks in from the bottom of the screen in a blue suit coat. A guy in a black hoodie wearing a grey back pack appears from behind an SUV a second later. He pulls out a hand gun, aims and shoots. Brian stumbles and reaches for his back before turning around. The shooter's guns seems to jam as it looks like he's hitting the top of the gun. Brian slightly hides behind a pillar while turning around and the shooter gets another shot off. Brian falls to the ground and looks like he might be trying to crawl away as the shooter approaches and fires for a third and final time. Whatever gun the assassin used isn't normal. It looks like a semiauto pistol that he has to manually pull back the slide with each shot. I don't know if it's some kind of homebrew gun, improperly cared for, he's limp wristing it or something that's causing it to foul up or not fully push back the slide. It does have some sort of suppressor on it but it's impossible to tell what through the grainy footage. I have heard of suppressors causing guns to not cycle properly due to the way they mess with the gasses so maybe that was the issue? Either way, welcome home Null!

One possibility is if the shooter is using subsonic ammo, it's much quieter than supersonic ammo, but doesn't have as much powder. In my Ruger 10/22 (semi-auto .22 Long Rifle) if I shoot subsonic ammo, it doesn't have enough recoil force to properly cycle the bolt and load the next round so it essentially becomes a "bolt action" rifle since I have to manually slide the bolt back to eject and load the next round. Add in a suppressor with subsonic ammo and you might have to tune the gun in some way for it to work properly.
