All roads lead to Rhodesia

@Null would you ever consider doing a stream about Rhodesia? It is kind of topical when it comes to current events and is an interesting historical event. Not lolcow discussion related but maybe would be interesting to educate your viewers about it

I think I found some Jersh lost media.

Josh used to livestream on Twitch in 2013-2015 under a few different usernames. I assumed nobody ever archived these streams because they only had around 10-15 viewers based on forum posts. I found two clips archived on archive.org last night of these streams that I just assumed were lost. I thought some may enjoy seeing some pre-MATI streams from 2014 (WITH WEBCAM). Enjoy.

BTW if you're an oldfag and you somehow have some OG Josh streams, do share. I've done quite a bit of digging to see if any of these streams were archived and I'm just happy to have a couple clips.

I'm going to be real, Null sounds like a Trailer Park Boys character when the writers thought that swearing alone was the peak of comedy. He's grown so much. Certified reddit wholesome bacon chungs moment 1764477216283.png

Also there's a surprising amount of true and honest female voices in the video. Aspiring E-girls were always after Our Feeder.

Other things stay exactly the same

TFW the MATI thread devolves into cheese debates and Metokur sperging

GIMP upscaled but I think the 9 conversions I did on already aztec era steraming quality were too much for it

His old self swearing reminds me of LeafyIsHere when swore in a very similar way. Even Josh criticized Leafy for saying fuck too many times

Even Thomas Sowell (who is certainly no excuse-maker) has written about how bad Africa's geography is economic factors. For one example I remember off the top of my chips, the Mississippi river you can ride all the way down from America's north to the gulf. Conversely every major African river has a falls along its route.

Why does this matter? Imagine you have a load of goods to get from one place to another. Now you can pick it up and carry it by either your own hands or with pack animals. Which will be slow, exhausting, and have a weight limit. Or you can put it on a boat, where you can transport a lot more weight a lot quicker. Unless somewhere along the way, you have to stop, get out of the boat, and move it and all your goods by land (like if you encounter a falls, the water transport equivalent of a barricade) and then get back into the water. If you have to do that very many times, you're not going to be able to transport as much as you could otherwise and lose all the advantages of water transport.

Here's a little something more interesting. I went looking for the video that was reading from the Thomas Sowell book all this info was in, and it was called "Facts about Africa's Geography never taught in school | Thomas Sowell."

That video has apparently vanished from YouTube. The only record of it now are some reaction channels reacting to it. Instead if you do a search for it, you'll get that "RealLifeLore" video at the top of the feed. A nebula backed channel.

Interesting.........

If you're in Europe and you didn't prepare for the winter, you would die either because of it got too cold or because you were starving, but places like Africa or South America were basically paradise for human beings. Nice weather all year round, no hurricanes, no earthquakes, no activate volcanoes, no huge natural disaster that would fuck shit up.
Metal tools are a hard wall for civilizational progress. The Aztec, Maya, and Inca were able to develop some pretty impressive civilizations given what they were working with, but without easy access to metal

At the end of the day I think the only thing that matters are the people that can maintain and manage an economy. South Africa despite rapidly becoming another Rhodesia has the highest GDP in Africa, that's because you have a people capable of doing banking and finance that scant few in Africa can hope to achieve. This is why despite Switzerland being a mostly mountainous land locked nation is still an economic and production giant.

At this point in history when communication and travel are at peaks your ancestors could never dream of, sure.

The geography issue is more of a reply to things like "well why didn't Africa historically...."

In fact a lot of actions by peoples in history can be explained by geography of the area and technology of the time.

This doesn't sound insurmountable and honestly sounds more like a lack of materials rather than a lack of means.

If Africa were populated with more intelligent and savvy individuals, you could ride a river north to south the whole way with an attached system of buoys and balloons to soar down a waterfall to the next river. Yes, even with a heavy load.

HOWEVER...

Getting it back -up- the same waterway wouldn't work without literal flying saucer technology, so you'd still need to take the land trek back up the riverbed.

It is not just intelligence that matters. Hot countries generally have way less productive and capable people because you can't work outdoors most of the year without burning/heat stroking yourself.

And if you're an intelligent type the climate is hot and makes people not want to work.

Thar may sound stupid but one key thing that made Singapore so successful was putting air conditioning in every government office so the workers could work throughout the day and regardless of season without sweating their balls off and becoming tired

I went to the InrangeTv thread too see how spergy this Carl fag and oh my god he’s just as spergy as I imagined

I can see Josh calling him a gay nigger faggot on xitter if they crossed paths
I mentioned this pretty early on in his thread, but he used to be somewhat normal. He used to do tons of stuff with Ian from Forgotten Weapons, but his behavior lead to Ian cutting ties. I specifically remember on one occasion, he got an email from one of those mobile games to do an ad read and he responded with one of the most unhinged rants over email I had ever seen over nothing. Then he made a video about it making it public to anyone that watches his channel lol. Shocking that he learned nothing from that.

Dear Null, you should cover the forum's XenForo license having been suspended a few years back and try to push them to reinstate your license because the world has changed a lot and k-farms position on the internet is highly important.
I think if you put out a message on your Jeeter and also cover the story on MATI you will have enough people to push XenForo to reinstate the forum's license.

I have collected a large array of links discussing the issue and it seems there's concern from some other XenForo users about their licenses being revoked and the k-farms being banned makes their trust in XenForo be lessened:
