I’m not convinced by the low res video. Maybe she did or didn’t but she’s wearing dancers tights and you could easily stick some realistic silicone butt stickies underneath the hose or even expensive jiggly ones. They make every type of wearable body modification for entertainers.

Madonnas crazy but she can afford much better looking work.

Her butt trick worked, no one’s been talking about Madonna for many months now she’s gone viral with “leaked” live footage. (One promoting her son on guitar at Stonewall) it’s obviously a calculated ploy for attention, which is the one thing you can always count on Madonna for no matter how old she gets. No one would have given a shit about Madonna’s old ass up on stage last week unless she was shaking a fake one.

ETA: The fact she went to great pains to show her butt in his leaked clip confirms for me it’s just a PR ploy. Madonna loves that she can make the Internet treat her sad twerking clip like the Zapruder film.

I'd argue you could bunch her in with Cher. A strong womyn I grew up with as my mom blasted her 24/7; now completely obsessed with Trump and Russian espionage. Practically anyone from that era of fame has become fucking nutjobs and can't handle social media at all.

I say this because she's been on a few shows recently with her terrible new music and her butt doesn't look nearly that big any more.

I have no real opinion. I like the thought that she did that for publicity, it fits with the old Madonna.

If they are implants though, that vid would be enough to make her go ”Holy Hell, I made a mistake and they need to do come out instantly. Don’t know that that’s a hard recovery or not.

Basically. I agree she has very little vocal talent, but one thing she did have going for her was having a nice tone. Once that was polished up she actually sounded pretty nice. Especially during her Ray of Light days and even on her Confessions on a Dance Floor album (which I actually enjoy). But her voice has gotten worse and worse from what I've seen, and now it's covered up with complete autotune.

She's a real mess now.
 
Every time I see a pic of Madonna these past few years I always think "oh, that's whatever happened to Baby Jane."

Madge was never an amazing singer, but in her glory days (pre-1995) she had a real artistic presence. She isn't, and never was, an immense talent, but in her early years I seriously contend that she had an artistic genius rarely seen - in the same vein as Michael Jackson. Her songs and especially her music videos were, at the time, very transgressive - especially since anti-sex feminism was rife in the early 90s. She projected a sensual, dangerous and glamorous persona in an era where women were deliberately trying to make themselves ugly as a feminist statement (yes, this really happened). She had a true sense of mischief and transgression - she was a Catholic schoolgirl, and nobody knows naughty subjects better. This is exemplified in a famous clip of her performance of Vogue at the 1990 MTV Awards, posted below. Her stage presence, glamour, daring and rich, sumptuous feminine energy are in full display:


Then, in the mid-90s, she had a kind of artistic menopause, when her creative fertility withered. She was no longer dangerous or glamorous, her music wasn't as good, and wasn't as revolutionary, and she just sorted of faded into crazy old rich lady territory. I think it was because her immense fame (and although most of us Kiwis are too young to remember, it was immense fame) divorced her from reality. She became too insulated and isolated to know what transgression was, and entered the cold, solipsistic, artless world of a rich narcissist - where she remains to this day. It's eerie that the famous clip above shows her dressed cheekily as Marie Antoinette, because that is exactly who she became.

I suspect it was becoming a mother that started the decline. She seemed to want to act "younger" after Lourdes was born and that was in 96 or 97. She was still fucking around with hot dancers, but she started taking herself a bit too seriously when she did Evita, then Lourdes was born, then she started getting into genres that she really couldn't own. I personally liked her Ray of Light album, but a lot of folks didn't. Then she moved to England and started all that weird Kabbahla shit.Then she got married and started all that weird yoga shit and adopting kids and acquiring a quasi-British accent.

I think she just stalled out after awhile. I can't remember a time in the last 20 years I've really found her interesting.
 
I think what amuses me most about Madonna is how when she was married to Guy Ritchie she adopted this pretend English accent.
Like, the British rubs off or something?

what I thought was really scummy was when she talked about how great MDMA is in front of a huge audience at one of her concerts. "Have you guys met Molly? How do you do fellow kids?"
That's just irresponsible and stupid. Why the fack are you shilling drugs, you old bat?
