I love how he has a dramatic pauses right, like he's conflicted or realizing he maybe shouldn't have said our name out loud. Like we're fucking Voldemort or something.

He thinks people think of it like mid 2000s Dramatica, like an internet nuke. He's doing like an "Oh yeah... I got my connections, fucko..." thing.

Now, granted, apparently people do think of it as a sort of 'no coming back once they getcha!' type thing. But still. It just looks weird as fuck when you make a point of it.

What the fuck is this shit? "Please review your videos from that month and let us know if think any of them require additional context", I don't get what this is supposed to mean. It almost seems like they're fishing for him to admit something might be "bad" so they can ban him over a self-admitted thing. Like, fucking what is this email supposed to mean, really?

WoTC's legal department called his office and left messages with his secretary, which is sort of funny. Apparently this MTG Lion guy is a lawyer and is familiar with the law firm WoTC outsources too. Claiming he's willing to represent himself for the purpose of making WoTC spend as much money as possible on the expensive law firm they use, and make to a point.

I think the subject(s) in this thread are the wrong one(s). Imagine if two people went back and forth over commentary on a game that is inherently autistic. Jeeze, that would be something, wouldn’t it? Two people screeching about a card game and one or two people commenting about the card game, and the people screeching, over and over. It’s like an autistic orourboros.

Oh god, the crazy motherfuckers went and did it.

A little musical advise for Jeremy since he's seen this thread:

As for MTGLion, he pushes out a ton of videos daily, so WotC covered it with "There's something offensive during this month, so find it and delete it so we don't have to do the work".

Wait wait so...

you guys think this rambling fellow, who claims he will be representing himself, has a good shot at bankrupting this company here? Is that where we are now?

I think the idea is to make WoTC look stupid and hopefully get some internal WoTC shot caller fired or sidelined. Make enforcing their CoC as difficult and costly as possible. Setting a precedent that it's unenforceable, or something.

Corporations can get comfortable thinking that no one will ever respond to them with actual legal action, or any real resistance. It might be surprising to people at corporate that there is a possibility it could backfire and bring down someone from Hasbro asking them "WHY?".

And as we all know, self-proclaimed smartyboys representing themselves with the intent to embarrass corporations in the court of law has always panned out.

You know, there's been something that's been bothering me about this whole shebang since Jeremy began his little Autism-based one-man offensive.

At this point, we know that there are Pedophiles in the MTG judging program. It would be one thing if it was just one, or a handful, but by all accounts there's over two dozen by now by conservative estimates, and that brings us to the realization that someone in the judging program has to have been covering for them.

This begs the question: Why?

Now at this point, "regressive leftist turns out to be a sex offender" has become this generation's "self-proclaimed moral guardian republican gets caught being a closted homosexual" meme-wise. Yet usually when we see some kind of mass Pedo Defense Force action, it's usually for a reason. For example, Nyberg was a walking meme factory for Anti-GG that cut across its disparate communities, so the attempts of Anti-GGers to cover Nyberg's ass, while abhorrent, made something distantly resembling sense. Yet there's none of that here, in this.

If WotC's disdain of said background checks and ongoing attempts to go after people advocating them is anything to go by, then the logical conclusion one draws from that is that somebody, or more likely than not multiple somebodies involved with the Judge program are either pedophiles or pedophile apologists themselves. If it was just a case of "this was an oversight, we will tend to this immediately," they'd have gone full-bore correcting it, and the shit would have ended overnight. It would have made shit-stirrers like Jeremy look like even bigger idiots, and would have been a good moment to show they were on the ball. They didn't do that. They not only completely flailed around scrambling for a response, but they've since doubled down on going after people bringing up the Pedophiles in the Judge program.

See, it’s already been super hard to follow cause of the artists here, but doesn’t MTG Purple have a stupendously valid point?

Pretty much, yeah. They gave no evidence of their claim (or didn't provide any), exactly like I said was gonna happen, and MTG Lion's got nothing to lose by making them look like fucking morons, so this Autistic game of high-stakes chicken has basically zero risk for the guy.

I honestly doubt it'll get that far.

MTG Lion's purportedly squared off with WotC's legal team before, and won. The objective wouldn't be to bankrupt WotC (Hasbro would pull the plug on that shit long before it ever got to that fucking point), it's to air their dirty laundry and expose their CoC as being utterly unenforcable garbage that they've been implementing entirely along ideological lines, preferably while hurting them a bit economically in the process (WotC's legal arm ain't cheap).

I did already; Piggyboy showed his ass and got booted. Was out for blood, tried 3 different things before he found anything that stuck, and his grand victory was "Huh. ok, I guess the stores need to be on the look out for this. ok, see ya.". The cost of this victory was an enraged tantrum which spammed... what, 3 months? Close to four? That consisted of him making more and more outlandish lies before he stumbled across "Some people who at some point touched kids also, at some point, played the card game!", and never really acknowledged the whole aspect of "How the fuck would the toy conglomerate be expected to be readily aware of when people who bought their product at some point molested kids?".

Because he now already tapped into a conspiracy theory community (i.w. GamerGaters) who are absolutely, 100% convinced there are... uh, what are you calling them now? "Cultural Marxists" still? Those "elements", and that they've sent them to operate within toy companies to stamp out dissent, of which Mr Hambly, though you claim to have no affinity or sympathy for in the slightest, couldn't be seen as anything but.

Now going back to this, half the people in this thread readily claim "Well, I mean they're assholes and kind of dumb, but..." so the fact that these silly shits don't hesitate to deliberately provoke this company and these rules at the drop of a hat isn't disputed; they do it and admit as much. It's merely an issue of "Well, it wasn't that bad, and shouldn't have resulted in ____".

I want to word this as diplomatically as I can, since apparently this is striking most of you as someone Jeremy and evidently now his band of pals being randomly, and viciously, picked on. But does none of this shit strike you as not that likely? Like you seriously think that's more likely than "Stupid mouthbreather and his stupid temper started raging at a storefront that he feels wronged him"?

But not only that, but they have indeed picked a fight with a group of such renegade, that they may very well indeed be dragged into court, and then lose to them?

I think WoTC doesn't want to handle the logistics and hassle of background checks, I don't even agree with them. If I was WoTC something like that would make me reconsider the judges program entirely, rather then implement it, I guess you'd need to do the money math. They just want this to go away and for no one to ever talk about it again.

I think SJWs don't give a fuck about pedophiles, possibly even empathize with them under the concept of neurodiversity. They're way more interested in people who agree with SocJus values, which is compatible with pedophilia. Implementing something against pedophilia is letting Jeremy win (merely because he's the one pushing it), which is a defeat for them, unacceptable.

Basically it's all about optics and posturing. I don't think people are genuinely protecting pedophiles directly.

That makes sense, but after the fucking Damore incident and so many similar previous incident, everything gets the volume turned down.
