Like I said previously, I never played, nor will ever play the card game itself, it's just not my thing. We are merely content to watch what happens and discuss spergs sperging out on other spergs. I personally don't care what happens to Jeremy, Magic or anyone or anything else involved in this thing, What happened here is that things became funny (at times) in a way we all didn't anticipate (I am still laughing about Thot Patroller btw).

Jeremy's constant attempts to become somebody online can eventually make him thread-worthy, but he isn't funny enough for that to happen now.

My uncertainty isn't that he's not the right kind of person to be a lolcow, but that he's just not funny enough to be one. A community shitstorm was required to propel him to entertaining status; without it he seems to just be mumbling to himself about perceived enemies.

The card game community itself, on the other hand, should be amply full of enough spergs to keep a steady stream of content. If someone's willing to keep an eye on them, I think they could farm enough to keep a community thread going.

Back when I was a kid and Magic was young, there was a local game store that was selling shrink wrapped bulk packs of cards. Even when I was a teenaged moron, I was not dumb enough to buy them because it was obvious that the store was not dumb enough to stick a super valuable card that it could sell on its own into these packs.

WotC actually does this every set as "Deck Builder's Toolkit" packages. Each of the new kits have 85 pre-selected (shit) cards, 40 random (also shit cards), 4 booster pack (which could be okay I guess) 100 land cards, and a guide book on how to build decks.

The older ones are more expensive, but the new ones run for about $18

EVERYBODY involved in the MTG drama has partial lolcow status in my book, and I say this as someone who follows and likes Jeremy and the Prof. I gotta say, its pretty funny when you think about it. Rudy, who has invested literally millions of dollars in cardboard, would be considered the eccentric in any other reality. But instead, he becomes a millionaire and the other big MTG youtubers are constantly brawling over literally every issue in the game.

Man, I really, really love magic but the community in it is somehow worse than any of the other games I have played.

The TF2 community is based around a game that is about as autistic as a FPS can get, yet is filled with level headed people (or at least it was back when i played 2011-2015ish). Over the ten years of the game, the community has never had a real scandal. Nobody ever asks about your political leanings, gamergate never really touched it, and just about anywhere you will end up playing only cares about the game. CSGO is a game that is about as close to Valve's attempt at scooping up the CoD kids as possible. In spite of its target audience, the mutliple pros caught cheating, and even legal issues with third party sites around gambling, you can still play a game or participate on a forum without anyone bugging you about what your "views" are on any of the drama. Any time anybody takes up issue with you in that game, its almost always about the game itself, whether they are right or wrong. "Why the FUCK did you go B?" Even the fucking minecraft community is less divided than magic, and it is by all means a cesspool.

In Magic there is no where you can go to not have to deal with everybody's visceral reaction to the drama. In my area at least, there is the "sjw" lgs and the "edgelord" lgs. What happened over time is the SJW joint started chasing out its non-SJW members through forced identity politics. Most of these people that got ran off got pretty polarized against liberals because of it, and they started flooding the good LGS. For the longest time, nobody over at the good LGS gave a fuck about identity politics. This changed when the other store practically deported a decent chunk of their audience over. Many of the people who got chased out started out not giving a fuck about identity politics, but they eventually got polarized because of the way they where treated. Their polarization eventually began to polarize other people at the good LGS as horror stories where shared, and after a while the "edgelord" crowd began to be over represented there. Fortunately, its still fairly diverse in terms of options for the most part, but there do exist people there that will pounce on you should you align left with anything.

In my experience of listening to MTGLION throughout this drama is that he's a pretty nice guy who avoids directly attacking people at a personal level. That said he's involved in the culture war and in Jeremy's corner. MTGLION is an Asian dude who is about the ecchi-life.

There is no pro-Jeremy conspiracy. Thread description calls him a neckbeard and I've called him an unsympathetic cringy wannabe-Sargon sperg. Your Metokur video was funny, but it came off as more WWE wrestling rather than a real dragging of Jeremy.
