Honestly I'm more interested in Muraganda but I don't care about the wacky races bullshit and the literal 'non violent' color revolution in Kaladesh, In fact Jace committing terrorism against Kaladesh by causing another revolution in Kaladesh is more interesting than the gay race with no stakes.

That had nothing to do with Compleation though because a Ton of Planeswalkers who lost their spark were never Phyrexianized..and Ajani kept his.

fair enough must have misremembered,

replace compleation with phyrexian invasion, we needed a personal consequence for our characters that we could also reverse whenever we wanted XD

Well it had nothing to do with the invasion, or consequences.

It had everything to do with the fact that WOTC changes tracks every 5 years.

WOTC: "Magic (ironically) magically the biggest IP on the planet and we haven't been invited to the White House to get the Medal of Honor for creating the greatest IP Ever! We have to change direction."

We are going to get an announcement about "Scaling back Universes Beyond and refocusing on Magic Lore" as soon as Universes Beyond loses it's luster and people start going "Meh" which I say Is in Less than 5 years.

Marvel
Final Fantasy
Lord of the Rings.

How many IPs can we really do massive Tentpole sets for? How many IPs are really in the position to carry a set?

I'm kind of hoping for a harry potter secret lair."

As an additional cost exile your commander. Counter target spell an opponent controls, you and permanents you own gain protection from the player who owns that spell until the end of turn.

You cannot cast spells or activate activated abilities for the rest of the turn.

I don't think Valgavoth can be killed at this point. They would probably need to separate him from the plane. Marina is the only one who can do that. Then he can be destroyed. He's essentially a poor man's Yawgmoth. I bet they won't even need a legacy weapon or Null moon to do that.
Here's what I think the story should be, if Wizards had any idea what they were doing.

Tamiyo stuck Emrakul in Innistrad's moon.
Emrakul planned to get out of the moon eventually.
Nashi is Tamiyo's adoptive son.
Nashi is traumatized by Duskmourne, and will do anything to destroy it.
Nashi is now the main antagonist. He'll do whatever it takes to dump Emrakul into Duskmourne. Just as Emrakul planned.

which we can then immediately roll back through omen paths and maguffins.
That is pretty much why the story sucked - you can't have consequences without any weight.

Though this does make me think about how "communized" this has all gotten. "Oh planeswalking is this super-elite thing. Only 1 in million might have a spark, and of those, only 1 in a million even awaken theirs." To now everybody, the common man, can planeswalk thanks to the Phyrexian roads.

They turned planes into cities and made the Phyrexians the good guys because they built interstate highways.

But then you can't return to Duskmourne 4 times and do "DUSKMOUNRE : Valgavoth Toilet"

The entire Gatewatch could have died and the All Will be one Story would have still been shit, and frankly the consequences still make no sense.

The majority of the characters that lost their sparks did nothing wrong. Consequences can't have weight if they make no sense and are just arbitrary.

I would love to laugh at WOTC for being woke, but I don't think its communism that caused this, it is WOTC trying to keep "Well Loved Non-planeswalker" characters relevant in the overarching plots.

"Oh noes you hate The Gatewatch because of our shitty writing? Okay no more planeswalkers we will have omenpaths so that Winter can show up on Kaladesh...does it make sense for him to show up on Kaladesh? NOPE but we will do it anyways cause people like Gissa more than Liliana!"

Edit: What the holy Hell, the first POV of Loot is...being offered Coffee by Daretti? Who brings up "Dietary Restrictions" because even Goblins have to act like Californians now.

And Chandra straight up fucking guesses that Loot is a fucking MacGuffin..and Loot apparently can't talk but is super duper Psychic enough that everyone understands his doggo speak.

Maro: Magic is different nowadays, it's not just for fat nerd turbo virgins.
The current magic community:
The vagisland drops have sold out.
The only black people I've ever seen play magic are the ones that have white grandmothers that pick them up after Friday night magic.

Most of the ones I’ve met quit yugioh cause of power creep, are gay, or both. Never met any of their grandmothers, but would not surprise me. They’re also all combo fiends or Rakdos degenerates (which I guess makes them all yugioh players by default?)

It has nothing to do with Black People playing the game, Wizards of the Cucks were afraid of Niggers burning down their houses after Saint Floyd of the Fentanyl OD'd so they pretended to love Niggers.

Not to derail, but I’ve been playing around with designing a custom commander or two for my play group (I made customs for two of them and figured I might as well for the remaining players) and I wanted all of your autistic opinions. Let me know what you think or any changes you’d make, this is pass one.

(Some name referencing the abzan) 3WUBG

Legendary creature- ogre wizard

Ward 2

Whenever another nontoken creature you control attacks, it phases out. Create a blue siege rhino token that’s tapped, attacking, and an illusion in addition to its other types. It gains “when this creature becomes the target of a spell or ability, sacrifice it.” When that token leaves play, the phased out creature phases back in.

Make him a Rhox so he can be a Rhino Wizard.

Edit : Actually, I think I have a more flavorful formatting that does the same sort of idea while trimming a color and keeping the Card Grounded more in Tarkir.

Fatfuck, Ancestor of the Siege - 4WBG

Legendary Creature : Rhox Spirit Shaman

Ward - Lose 3 Life

At the beginning of your end step Exile the top card of your library face down and look at it. Create a Siege Rhino Token, When this token leaves the battlefield put the exiled card in your hand.

Mana Cost Wards are god awful in actual play so I changed it to life loss, an Abzan worshipping Ancestors was a major theme for the Abzan so a Spirit that does the Semi-Manifest effect that War of the Spark Ugin has would give it more of a connection to the plane than Illusions.

Androgynous Chandra. Can't have that male gaze or trannies upset that actual women have curves
