You think they'll ever finish the series or will they give up half way through?
I'd bet it depends on the sales. If I were betting, Spider-man has only 1 and each Marvel set to follow will have 1 of each stone. The real question is whether they will aim for 6=7 Marvel sets or if the license will get yanked. (Though given their 2 year lead time, they sets would have to be done by now.)

For those curious, the far superior game, Unmatched, did 5 marvel sets (with 3 characters in each).

I would dare say they are gonna plan to have marvel sets in the future because just like FF, it will attract people that dont play mtg and just want the marvel cards. Hell they have years and years of comic runs and characters to pull from so it wouldnt surprise me. Although as much as i would love to have a Moon Knight or Ghost Rider deck in mtg. I would hate that they would start making sets for mtg when there are planes that people clearly want to return to or they should use that development time to make new planes/sets to explore.

Just saying....

All in one box... ;)

Aight gang, I managed to go 7/2 in a standard event on arena with this list and I want your thoughts on it before I try building it in paper. My LGS is thinking of doing a standard night again and I'm half tempted to spends some cash since most of the deck is pennies outside of the land base.

It looks silly for BO1 but you really want a good sideboard for BO3. This is the kind of deck that needs good swaps to pick up a whole match.
What decks did you lose to in the arena event?

Same deck but drop red and go blue for Coveted Falcon and Stock Up

I'd also shave your instant interaction for more O-ring effects and the black edict artifact to have more worthless garbage to give them for card advantage

Just got to play commander in person for the first time in years (i usually play on modo) took one of my new decks on a run cause i wanted to not overwhelm randoms.

easily won, which is a surprise, i thought the deck was gonna be much weaker than it was

I got trounced by jeskai artifacts and a mono-black pile. Black was more due to poor mulligan choices, but jeskai artifacts is part of the reason I'm running the ultimas. I had some close shaves with the b/w sephiroth deck, but my maindeck has so much removal that it was enough to push past.

An interesting thought. I like the red for harmless, since that's an immediate hand over, but falcon is an option I hadn't considered. I do like the idea of O-ring effects, especially since I can give them away or use them to remove the greed's gambit i give them and force a loss of 6 life 3 cards and 3 creatures. Stock up might be good enough to make it all work...
Edit: I forgot falcon says any number, it's wildly stronger than harmless offering. I think Esper might just be the way to go. I'm still trying to decide on permanents vs instants though.

Decided to try and join a commander legaue in an LGS and then i read the rules and they had the most limiting and boring rules. Here are some examples:
>No extra turns of any kind
>No land Destruction of any kind
>No infinite loops of any kind
>No Locking out other people
>No taking control of other people turns
>No mill

This is my first time that i know that edh leagues are a thing and i wanted to try it out but i was met with bullshit restrictions. Mind you their bracket for entry is Bracket 4, so it isnt a casual setting where someone with a precon can just go. Is this a trend with edh leagues or is the LGS being retarded?

EDH leagues have always been an excuse for someone to force their vision of """fun""" onto their LGS. To the shock of no one, league rules like this always bring out tons of trolls trying to game the system to the detriment of the casual players who just want to play some games.

I really want to get back into magic, but the other IP slop cards make me so aggravated that I think I would actually seethe if someone showed up with a mismatch of random ass external IP cards. It's such a shame because I really enjoyed playing commander with the boys but I would legit have an aneurysm if someone pulled out their black panther Wakanda nigger marvel deck. Also, I only found out about the doctor who cards the other day, and all I have to say about doctor who is that shit is only liked by pedophiles.

Cyberman Squadron is good for artifacts and Displaced Dinos is killer. Also they reprinted Heroic Intervention in it. Somehow I can't find other good things to say.

So in my limited experience normally "competitive" edh is points based, so they can incentivise certain things without going full on banning. Don't know the bracket system though so I can't tell you anything about that. I can tell you the justification though:

-Extra turns often turns into solitaire, there is fun ways to use it but most turns into that (like Narset)
-Land Destruction is a bit obvious, though completely banning it is begging people to abuse gaea's cradle type lands. Probably why people specify mass land destruction insteead, though certain cards would toe the line of course.
-Infinites is because they "invalidate" the game before hand, like how Worldfire means the game was pointless. Does make games last a long time though.
-Stax is obviously frowned upon, though I guess could be intererpreted in weird ways. Is Ghostly Prison lockout?
-Taking control of others is a bit weird. I guess I could see Mindslaver loops being annoying and sometimes you can take a lot of loss, but that seems a bit weird. I guess because its basically a turn skip?
-Mill is just the classic "feelsbad" though commander mill is meme-y so I don't know why they specified.''

If you don't want vague attempts to recapture the Kitchen table magic, try CEDH. Pretty much any league will either outright ban or disincentivise certain styles of play. Otherwise you need your own playgroup.

Been catching up on the EoE plot.

Its not...as abjectly awful as Aetherdrift. The setting is absolutely uninteresting. The main driver for the non-tezzeret characters is the war between two psycho evil cults.

None of that really matters, the main plot is Tezzeret hiring Sami to find The Endstone, a reality warping artifact that fucks with probability.

He wants it so he can find the local Gods because he is butthurt over being bolas bitch and wants to know who is in charge of the edge.

Edit : Sami's cat got itself stuck in a barrel that freezes time.

I want to say its stupid...but a cat would 100 get itself stasis'd
