Also..her grand plan is to murder The Night Elemental so that it can't make things night anymore because the apparent natural state of the day/night cycle of the plane is based entirely on the whims of Elemental Beasts.
Oh yes, try and control the plane's natural shift between day and night. That plan hasn't be been tried before.

Oh no, not control it.

She wants to straight up Murder the night one so that its always daytime, and technically Oona's plan was working until outside forces fucked it up. (Thanks Dominaria for almost destroying the multiverse and causing the mending)

Also I need to reread the Lorwyn block because I don't recall mention that the natural day/night cycle of the plane is caused by Elementals walking around..

I could be wrong, been a while myself, but I think Oona was influencing the Great Aurora to keep her and her fairies unaffected.

She was controlling it directly, but the mending fucked that up in some way that is not really explained.

2 Mythic Rares with unusable evoke abilities

DFC Slop Mythic Rare.

White Mythic Rare that is unplayable because it's sorcery speed so can't be used in response to a board wipe or a killing attack.

Only good Mythic Rare so far is a Flash Threat in the standard with Tishana's Tidebinder and Floodpits drowner and Enduring Curiosity.
We just went over that you don't check the mythic rares!

All the power is at uncommon.

Saar, do not redeem the feet pics.

She is in the story and while her dialogue is not the worst part of the story, hearing her talk is going to kill your boner.

Bold of you to assume that I like her because of degeneracy (gooner) while I like her for degeneracy (counters)

Problem is they just painted hooves on the BBW foot fetish picture they are tracing over. The foot itself is a normal human foot with normal human foot bones that ends in hoof-caps for toenails over 2 and 3 of her toes. It's going to be jank looking.

That said I'm not going to complain TOO much because while BBW and Feet are not my tags she's a mostly attractive depiction of a white woman in MTG in current year (slight butter face, not enough to be a problem a few drinks wouldn't take care of).

I do not think that Hooves can move in the shape that they are making
Because those aren't real hooves, obviously. Instead of this, you should focus on her skin tone, which is rather uncomon for this type of elves. They usually either pale or somewhat bronze, and she's neither of these.

Honestly her being a Elf from another plane who disguised herself as a Elf from Lorwyn would be a clever twist but I think they'll forget about omenpaths being a thing.

Since the set was delayed, I'm curious if it'll have the hallmarks of the Q1 starter sets of the last few years which were all shit (Aetherdrift, MKM, ONE) ... or if it'll reflect more of the Q3 set it was originally supposed to be, which have generally been alright (Duskmourne, Wilds of Eldraine).

Avatar draft remains fun, as even with the clear color-winner being White with the winning pair being UW, you just have to know how to draft the rest of them for it to work. Firebending is an excellent skillcheck for retards, and is one of the most interesting mechanics they've thrown out in a while. Between this set and FF, I've got more than enough fun shit to build around so I can just skip on anything but a handful of rares through all of next year.

How not to be a retard when dealing with firebending?
It's more of a drafting skillcheck in that you want to run cards which give you sinks for the mana. Many of the firebending cards have their own sinks, but they tend to be pretty weak: a 1/1 counter, a 1/1 creature, 1 damage etc. This means you want to load up not just on clue-makers but on barrels of blasting jelly, which provide early fixing and then double as entirely-affordable removal.

There is also knowing that after damage, there is the 'end of combat' step in which you can still use it. Arena generally skips over this step, but it was how (for example) you could attack with a Decayed token back in Midnight Hunt, have it deal damage, then sacrifice it to something instant-speed (like, for example, village rites).

This is useful because it allows you to option-select: if you have fire sages and expect your opponent will just kill it with a razor rings, instead of dumping the 3 mana into sages, you can wait - either to dump it into a clue or to just not have spent the 2 mana that it didn't generate. Putting counters on after dealing damage does make you miss a damage, and your opponent can still razor-rings it in response after damage has been dealt during the end-combat step (as it is still attacking), but even this nets you 2 additional damage.

There's also knowing that, for example, firebending student is generally a shit card in limited that you should not slot into generic red decks. But if you get a lot of combat tricks (especially the one that creates a clue) or even just how-to-start-a-riot, the card becomes a house - again provided you have suitable sinks. It becomes possible to t2 student -> t3 Cunning Maneuver -> kicked Firebending Lesson or Fire Nation Attacks or Blasting Jelly.

I suppose another good firebending retard-check is if you feel any temptation to slot Sozin's Comet into your limited deck, you need to go back to basics.
