Fools. Money. You know the deal.
Likely more than 250m? You could build a MMORPG with that kind of money. I do have to to congratulate Bungo for scamming Sony for this much for so little work
how much did Bungie spend on advertising Turdathon?
Unfortunately you're a bit late and the sale's over now and its back up to $39.99. Definitely not worth the price there. For $26 I think it's worth getting and fucking around with as long as you wanna do extraction shooter PvE with the milsim aspect of Tarkov and less autism.
The helicopter system takes some getting used to and does occasionally mean an annoying wait, but besides that for the asking price it's pretty fun to fly to a landing zone on a little bird then make it to any POI and light up some Vietnamese. A few locations like the underground bunker and sawmill are fun set pieces for lighting dudes up and they fixed the weirdest damage to enemies bugs.
There's not a ton of great loot or anything, but you get to play SOF soldier man and such in a more bite size fashion than something like ARMA.
Bungie, has a former Microsoft company, still holds loyalty to it's old flag, and wishes to make it proud I guess. The theory which Bungie wants to bankrupt Sony by a desire of vengeance makes more and more sense.
The game needs players not whales on a jurno salary. This is the same as that petition to save that star Trek show. Has more people signing it than the per episode view count.

A lot more than it should've gotten, tbh. There were tv spots, twitch ads, influencer fly outs, ARG, they did a cringe inducing hidden camera show where they pretended to be the company making real versions of the in game shells that would then 'come to life'. We're talking the kind of marketing blitz you used to see for a Halo launch party.how much did Bungie spend on advertising Turdathon?
I never played it but have a ISO on a drive. Is it any good?Hazechads can't stop winning

Yhea, it was very noticeably his AI when upon being spotted by an enemy he procceded to scamper away to the closest blindspot and hold it like a dirty fucking rat.For anyone looking for an extraction shooter PvE style, you could check out Incursion Red River. They hired the guy that did the SAIN AI mod for SP Tarkov, Solarint
It does also help not to make the lock of brittle, water-damaged tissue paper.Anticheats I think function a lot like locking your door: if someone really wants to get through your door, they probably can, but some hooligans just looking to fuck around will probably just rattle the handle and walk on by.
And of course, make sure the people you want actually coming through the door can unlock it easily. It does also help not to make the lock of brittle, water-damaged tissue paper.
It's not getting shitcanned because it would be a major embarrassment for Sony, to say nothing of the knockdown effect it would have on shareholder confidence, if they were to admit they have another $400 million (development + marketing costs) dud on their hands, not even a year after Concord bombed, and among all the other news of canceled Sony GaaS projects.I think that Forbes article is right that the game isn’t in immediate danger of getting shitcanned but there’s no way Sony is happy with these results.

That's more or less what I've been saying. At this point it's more of an image issue because they sure as fuck aren't going to recoup their money. It's not getting shitcanned because it would be a major embarrassment for Sony, to say nothing of the knockdown effect it would have on shareholder confidence, if they were to admit they have another $400 million (development + marketing costs) dud on their hands, not even a year after Concord bombed, and among all the other news of canceled Sony GaaS projects.
A game with under 30,000 concurrent players at peak hours that was released not even three months ago does not justify a $400 million price tag.
So Sony and Bungie will both pretend the game is doing fine, throwing more money into the furnace just to keep appearances, and hope they'll be able to shut the game quietly a year down the line when most people have stopped caring..
Let's not forget that Sony still has to release Fairgames and that Horizon thing, and both games have only received mockery and derision since their respective reveals.
Sasuga, Bungo, you've done more damage to commiefornia Sony (largely unintentionally, but still) than anyone else. A true hero of the chud revolution.
