Marathon 2025 - Bungie's new AAAA Extraction shooter

You can get hype all you want, this is Bungie in 2026, they were at their peak like 3-4 years ago, and even then they were underdelivering on purpose to fuck their audience.

Now? Bungie is hollowed out, this game is doomed, it'll have decent PVP, but be in some ways incredibly fucked, probably map design or size or something else critically missing from the extraction formula, I'm leaning on map size, Bungie takes fucking years and years to make a map you'll explore in about 10 minutes.

I agree with your sentiment, but you must be young cause Bungie peaked in 2007.

There is no story reason as to why everything looks like fine china, they just wanted it to look like that to represent the artists collection of Chinese dildos. And the story so far is a whole lot of meandering about being able to be "a new you in a new body you choose", more so than is customary for the genre, makes me believe they are pushing it more so because a sizeable ammount of the writers are trans rather than anything else.

People are trying to compare it to BioShock when in reality this shit is closer to those little ipads in Helldivers II that are just essentially flavor text. This is the studio that resolved major hanging lose story threads via weapon lore tabs (Trespasser & Shiro-4 from, Destiny)
 
I hate that i really like the design because there is no way i would enjoy this competitive pvp game if i were to play it. I saw people losing their entire health instantly to two pixels on the screen and i saw enough.

It triggers the same brain synapses as those barberbeats album covers from a few years back and i hope a game has similar swag one day but is playable for humans over 18.

I played a lot of forsaken pvp but missed out on witch queen, I couldn't take pvp seriously after they made stasis so im curious about what you liked.

again, it isn't about "like" or anything, I despise that game now, its about.
gunplay, every gun performs specatcularly, sure some are weaker than others in PVP, but the actual mechanics of each gun type, and there are MANY types, is very well done, just for each type of gun like auto rifle there are about 9 or so variants, and that's just the frames, not to mention any unique passives the specific named gun could have, this alone blows halo out of the water in the sheer scope of what you can play with.

movement, the gameplay of movement is beyond the scope of any other shooter, there's dashing sliding, gliding, boosting, and tons of other ways to get around.

I could go on, but for PVP these two reasons make it superior to Halo, which by the way, is made BY THE SAME FAGGOTS so obviously its better, its the same people who have refined their craft, however, they are greedy shitty assholes who endorse retarded politics, and introduce broken mechanics and weapons in their game, and dripfeed content so slowly it pissed off everyone who has ever played the game.

I can critique it and say it does things better than halo, and not like it.
