Sorry for the shit formatting. But here are some UI screenshots. With the new VN like conversations you have with the faction leaders. I can see why they are still making this game because A LOT of the cutscenes I've seen are very high quality, must've been a fuck ton of money put into them. Gonna post gameplay later, but the issue with is that, I have to censor a lot more things. I only posted what I though was new, there was the Thief character in the game but they put her in by "accident". It was probably some attempt to build hype for her.
 
Got invited to the test and I’ve put ~3 hours in so far. Overall the game is decent or even good but it has a lot of little things that need to be fixed before it launches. The game is carried by its visuals/sound design hard with solid enough gunplay.

The big problem is everything kills you instantly while requiring you to dump a mag into most enemies and you get next to nothing for it. Having the characters feel sluggish to control and weapons taking forever to reload doesn’t help either. I get why they said that the game wasn’t designed for solo play, it straight up is not fun unless you play the join in progress character they added.

there are some good systems in it, the best by far being the loadout kits, but the game gives you one screen explaining how they work. They basically give you a gun or two and a few items either for free or for in game money. they need to be front and center since theyre the strongest “casual-friendly” mechanic the game has since you can just go buy one and hop into the game.

TL;DR it’s an extraction shooter with cool visuals and best played in a group but needs another round of balancing before launch

just say it's a retarded pvpve shooter too late for the party with it's inevitable death probably sooner than many are betting on, because people that like pve don't like to pvp and people that like to pvp don't like to pve, sony literally forcing bungo to do a retarded DOA genre game is funny, because they have destiny 2 and they always try to force pve people into pvp for shitty +1 light power gear with predictable results, SUFFAH BUNGO.

that's because they just copied all their animations and gameplay from Destiny 2, quite literally, the punches from one of the classes is just, frame for frame, the Titan punch, the guns, specifically the scout rifle, is just LITERALLY in every way, the short scoped scoutrifle frame from D2, including firing animations, reloads, the works.

I mean far be it from me to hate on reusing animations, but this shit has taken forever, and all they have to show for it are these tiny, flat maps where you go in garish buildings with serialcode information plapped on it retardedly, and despite the Android bodies meant to be throw away they are covered in punk-aesthetic friviolties.

saying the visuals are good is misleading, its just "Color Contrasts, the style" OOOH Purple and Acid green? Acid Green and Cherry Red? Orange and Purple? REALLY my nigga? is this fucking first year art design?
 
I can't help but feel like there's a lot of junk items not even worth picking up but they plague the map and enemy loot bags with, like those status effect healing items. This level of looting and menuing shouldn't even be on console, it's too clunky for controllers. The TTK is also insane, you pretty much need eyes in the back of your head to ensure someone doesn't sneak up on you and riddle you with bullets.

Aesthetically I think it's unique considering the other triple A games we've had over the year are mostly going for hyper realism. I especially like the menus, loading screens, and faction CG scenes. Sony is going to run Bungie into the grave though if they stick with the plan of telling the story through seasons and forcing players to do story objectives in a PvEvP environment. The season pass cosmetic stuff is also a joke, the stickers are tiny, the gun skins aren't all that different, and the charms are just charms.

They're really going to struggle to try and sell this, I just don't think the extraction genre is meant for a wider audience. My money is on it getting a $20-$40 price range and banking on streamers to do the heavy lifting of marketing. It's a shame because there's something good here for people who like cryptic esoteric mumbojumbo. Bungie really leapt from the frying pan and into the fire with Activision and Sony.

the funny thing is that animations are also reused on borderlands 4, the scout jump animation for rafa comes to mind, the posted video makes the characters look like their sharted their pants on the walking animation because it's slowed down titan running.
 
They should have got the guy who does all the MGS (and now death stranding) Mech shit, Yoji Shinkawa, imagine running around and high frequency blading enemies and players and looking actually cool instead of Trashbag Balenciaga aesthetic.

Even if they did attempt to hire him, he wouldn't accept the job. That guy has worked under Kojima for so many years. Also the art direction looks fine to me, the only issue I have is how trash the guns look. There is not one single gun in this game that I like the design of. They are the worst thing about this game.

It honestly looks like they haven't changed a fucking thing about the art direction, so the question remains of whether, after the whole scandal, Bungie are still using any of the same assets that they plagiarised prior. I'm going to straight-up Joker-laugh if they are.

being honest, no one really cares about it and bungie certainly doesn't, the fact that the whole debacle became dead silence in a few days tells alot.
people just picked on it because it was a reason to bash on bungo but they have forgotten about it.
 
You don't need any other reason to bash the art style of the game than having functioning eyes.
The contrast heavy style is only cool to those who think Colour Theory is king and that putting bright red on top of clean white is revolutionary.
 
I still stand by what I said before, this is just a shitty COD Warzone knockoff that looks like Roblox Call of Duty Infinite Warfare. This shit looks so boring, and it looks like a pre-alpha despite how long they've been working on it. Pathetic, Bungie is dead.

This art style just reminds me of all the pretentious DJ's who try to merge classy marble and fart sniffing glass sculptures and punk. Its that john wick aesthetic of everyone being covered in tatoos, piercings and really shitty hairstyles but then they wear a suit as if there's anything coherent about it.
