Seasons in Marathon last about three months, and each season will bring new content and features that change the way you master survival, grow your power floor, and progress throughout a season.

This is what's going to make this game brutal for dad gamers and casuals. The unemployed are going to be constantly at the peak while normies will be in death valley.

I'm looking forward to launch, but I'm not looking forward to playing with my dad gamer friends. I cant imagine them sticking around to get slaughtered on repeat every few months with a brand new set of maps, abiltiies, and weapons to learn with out ever really having mastery over the previous sfuff.

I think it's entirely dependent on how ranked works. Ranked needs you to bring better and better gear as you rank up, so it may pull sweats out of the casual map pool

Their shelf expiry date is the game's lifetime. And I'm not optimistic about that.

So something that I noticed when I played the beta was that the AI, especially the higher level ones were incredibly aggressive and they spawned in every like minute after you cleared a POI.

So a lot of players probably killed the AI and then stayed fighting instead of moving on.

A lot of them were definitely retarded though

The AI spawn in every compound on the map.

So any named POI will have the AI in it. There are also AI like bugs or turret's that spawn between POIs

The AI also gets attracted to noise so if you make noise outside a compound they will come towards it if you're close enough

As for hotspots, players pretty much go where their quests or item needs take them.

It becomes an issue when they balance the game around retards though. It's a reason why most games have that obnoxious character narration "I need to go to (insert location here) right now". It's because of retards like this that most games are butt easy.

As for hotspots, players pretty much go where their quests or item needs take them.

All players really need to do is find a cheese spot and the AI just get fucked over completely, like the window spot in Maintenance on the ramp where you can easily take out all the AI without even taking damage. The only thing I struggled with was bosses which don't seem to have an obvious counter which I am completely fine with, but they spawn so much AI from the ships that they become an extremely obnoxious fight. I'm talking spawning every 30 seconds which is fucking annoying.
