My queues as PMC are often 5 minutes long and were often longer during development, so I refuse to subscribe to the "tons of people play Tarkov." belief.

I've never had experience with this. This seems like something a minority of people would do and not tens of thousands. The battle state launcher just has nothing to offer the player.

I'm sure there is a lot of that, but there are also a lot of people who simply arent playing it, but bought it.

I'm almost certain, something is definitely weird. Saw someone compare number of reviews (especially positive) VS playercount, proposing that a lot of Marathon reviews are likely fake. If we look at the achievements you've pointed out as well, together it paints an interesting picture.

There was an insane amount of customization. You could change the colors of each armor part, the level of dirt (from 0 to poop festival) or scratches (from clean to rusty). The same level of customization also applied to the weapons.

It was apparent it was woke from the aesthetics of the game. I am extremely good at noticing but I have been memeing the aesthetics of the game as a sort of Neoliberal minimalist flat design for davos class elite pedophiles and 30 year old cali art school hipsters who hate traditional aesthetics and want to make a new framework for what can be considered "cool" without appealing to straight white men like the art for the OG Marathon

Never forget that Bungie released a whole masterpiece campaign that people look upon fondly as the most unique Halo game with firefight mode and the entire Halo 3 multiplayer with forge for $60 and allowed you to get recon through vidmaster challenges and getting skulls on multiplayer maps that you physically own

A small but select number of Halo youtubers like Mastercheeks or Shreddednerd embody that old community's values and reddit hates them for saying naughty words, Forgelabs even had to take down a video about old Xbox toughening you up
