Also, Tarkov doesn’t do resets anymore I think? They only “reset” because that’s when they would implement new updates while the game was still pre 1.0
They'll separate it to a main character that doesn't lose progression and seasonal characters that lose progression and the first season actually starts next month, which means a direct headbump with marathons second season. It'll be interesting to see the player counts for both games when the updates happen next month. Nikita can do the funny thing starting the season off on the same day marathons second season starts now that the date is known.

This was ironically what kept me from playing Tarkov when it fully released, I liked having wipes. so having a seasonal character will be nice

I think Peak will go below 10k before season 2 and season 2 peak will be 20k. I’m being very generous because you can NEVER trust or predict the goy when it comes to their nigger slop.
5K is granted if there is new stuffs especially if it consists of D2PVP expats that forked the 40 dolla, they have a chance here of keeping a decent-ish numbers if they stall the D2 team and keep making new gun skins for ranked/seasons and shieet in marathong.

Yeah, along with a whole slew of other changes in an attempt to make the game more casual, like a gps system to find extracts, quests being shared among the team, team revives, reducing the requirements for quests and traders and many more. If Nikita goes through with 50% of what he promised the other day, it will be huge for tarkov, more than the 1.0 launch was. One positive thing you could say about marathon is, somehow it made tarkov better.

honestly this is more about uhh some immersion venue attempt, how it works is per player sure but it doesn't make the approach attempt any less valid, it works for some people but not for others, there's a reason they try even if some people think it's "cringe"...
if the player doesn't know something and the player character does then it's a very simple way to bridge the gap. but this thought exercise is way over the heads of most writers that don't know the difference between the two.

Years ago, I noticed that the game was almost entirely lacking in heterosexual relationships that don't end in tragedy (Crow/Amanda, Zavala/dead wife) or have something else wrong with them (Clovis Bray's relationship with his wife, parents of a kid who was the PoV of a lore entry being racist against the Fallen, Drifter having a thing for the Emissary's former identity, etc.). Gay relationships? All over the place! (Osiris/Saint obv, the Bray sisters having unnamed girlfriends, Micah's Two Dads, Mara trying to hook Crow up with one of Uldren's gay lovers as soon as Amanda has been disposed of, Awoken society in general). There's Drifter/Eris, I guess, but it took them forever to do anything with that and I don't know whether they did anything to ruin/destroy it since I stopped after Echoes. And some gender stuff goes back pretty far, there was a lore entry in Forsaken about the gender distribution of the Awoken in the Distributary, something like 2/3 female, with the remainder split around evenly between male and "otherwise."
Well to be fair the current big bad is driven by a toxic lesbian relationship so they don't portray all homo relationships as good.

Thankfully, not only did they not ruin Drifter/Eris, their romance is probably one of the better written in the series, with them finally making it official at the end of the Heresy storyline. I guess it helps that they naturally let it build up over time, starting from an uneasy working relationship to finding common ground through their histories and eventually developing romantic feelings for each other. Much better than pulling a "lol they're gay" card like with Osiris/Saint.

God, fuck that stupid faggot for ruining two of the potential best characters. He literally admitted in an interview that the two of them being buttbuddies was his headcanon that he immediately forced into being actual canon as soon as he got on the team. Never mind that there was absolutely nothing to suggest in lore that they were anything but close friends and battlefield comrades with a mutual respect for each other, nope, they were actually fucking each other up the ass every day! Faggot probably thinks Frodo and Sam were diddling on the way to Mount Doom.

Fag pandering is so tiresome, especially when it gets to such an absurd degree that gay characters and relationships outnumber straight ones multiple-to-one. It's even funnier when you have members of the group being pandered to that find it moronic, so you end up chasing away the normies without gaining enough of a new audience to stem the outflow. It's the "we want the Call of Duty audience" of the modern day, except it just ends up making everything lame and gay instead of generic shooter. Say what you will of the brown and bloom era, at least you weren't being eyeraped with gaudy colors and fag flags everywhere.

One has to wonder if that's part of why Marathon didn't become the huge success they were wanting. It seems pretty obvious that trannies glommed onto it immediately and started pumping out porn of remarkably unsexy characters (especially "lesbian" pairings because trannies), and that almost assuredly turned off some people who might have been on the fence about it. They're so pornbrained that they can't understand how a lot of people don't actually like getting bombarded with porn any time they want to have a discussion about something.

Digital extremes made Warframe with reused dark sector assets and a budget of two dollars, for as much hate Steve Sinclair (rightfully) gets, he had the right idea with making Warframe a minimally viable product and keep building upon it while selling founders packs/prime access to whales and mtx to the average player. This last part is what most triple A studios/publishers don't get and end up burning millions while taking forever to ship anything.
Steve gets hate? I think you're confusing him with Scott, who is the grumpy fat one, notorious for being stubborn about his retarded game design choices.

It's like The Expanse (which I for the most part adore), which extrapolates gay into far future. It implies that general progress would mean more gay, to the point we put the effort into creating technology allowing two lesbians to conceive a child. Or that people living together in confined space on ships for long periods of time would result in polycules being the norm.
I absolutely don't understand why they waste so much time trying to gay it all up, as if normal heterosexual relationships will inevitably become obsolete. Well, I suppose it makes sense when it comes from people that believe in the myth of overpopulation.

Warframe succeeded despite all of the DEgenerate faggotry.
Also, I do not think we are at the low for the day but:

I have seen the take "ha ha see it didn't immediately crater like Concord get owned chuds" and "how many Concords is it now? Still going strong idiot!" but I feel like Concord was only a $400m~ loss no? I understand that Sony did not 'lose' $800m on Bungie, but they certainly overpaid and have written it down/off with nothing (much) to show for it.

From my experience designing this kind of stuff theres 2 good reasons to do this if you want to maximize lore
1. Moves lore away from talking characters
2. Reduces need to read extremely long book about every single weapon
I'd add one extra point:
3. Allows the player to engage with the lore as much or as little as they want.

I read every single note in Silent Hill f because they were interesting and I was curious to learn more about the weird backwoods social politics of a 1970s Japanese village, but if you don't care about any of that you can completely ignore it and blast through the game.

Conversely, when I played Borderlands 4 I mashed through any dialogue I could and whipped out my phone every time I went to turn in a side mission because I knew I was going to be forced to sit through literal minutes of unfunny exposition before I got my XP.
How low will the player count get before S2 and what is the s2 player count peak?
Peaks have been sub-12k for the last 4 days and we've still got 2 weeks til S2, so I wager we're at 9k when it starts and it gets back up to 15k once before everyone realises nothing has changed and abandons it again.

I don't anticipate any new players will pick up the game for Season 2, but obviously we have no way to verify that.

Bungie sisters are on some of the purest copium this side of the Mexican border. I've seen some of these retards on Twitter claiming Destiny 2 is still profitable enough to keep Marathon afloat, or that Marathon isn't a flop because the devs have committed to a roadmap, which as we all know is legally binding and always fulfilled.

He's such a faggot. He shilled the fuck out of the game, and then finally came to the realization that he hated it because lo and behold the content and views just aren't there. There's a reason he defaulted to playing Destiny 1.

Keep in mind I'm not saying he's a faggot for not playing Marathon. Just the fact that he shilled the game super hard, like he did for Highguard, pretending the game was good trying to get players to play only to ditch it later. I get that he's a content creator and all that, but I despise the dishonesty and clickbait.

It was an improvement from BL3, but at the same time it's also painfully uninteresting. And for me personally, Borderlands without Pandora is no Borderlands at all. They toned down the retarded zoomer, but forgot to add personality.
They went into some retarded galaxy war save the universe shenanigans with the franchise and moved on as if the original theme was entirely exhausted. But they never truly fulfilled the promise of gritty space western on the savage frontier of Pandora. Borderlands is an even bigger waste of potential than Marathon.

again and again we go with this

over 10x more people are playing Marathon nearly 3 months out than the highest peak of Concord. Every single copy of concord sold was refunded to the player, zero actual sales of a 400 million dollar game.

Marathon is a flop, a big flop, but it will never be concord.

People actually want to play Marathon, they might be few and far between, but they do exist. You cant exactly say that about concord.

At this point calling it concord is either due to not knowing why concord was so unbelievably bad or due to a lack of a word for it.

Bungie over paying for this is the new cope for people who need another concord. You could actually rationalize it as Marathon making more money than concord could ever dream off, Bungie paid 4 billion dollars for Marathon. It's not good logic either way.

I don't anticipate any new players will pick up the game for Season 2, but obviously we have no way to verify that.
I wonder how many people will stick around after all their shit gets wiped.

I think this might be an issue moving in to s2.

Borderlands 3 was such a pointless exercise it should have been DLC for Borderlands 2. I still can't believe it took Gearbox 6 fucking games to add the double-jump and glide mechanics Destiny has had since 2014. And even then they made the glide shitty.

We just have to accept "Concord" is now the pejorative for a failed live service. I agree that nothing else is ever going to measure up to that level of failure again (because it was literally historical) but it is what it is.

Did Sneedbox ever release sales numbers for BL4?

I feel like people only talked about it for only like 2-3 days after release then it died completely.

I have seen Marathon fans claiming that even if it shuts down they will be happy since the game was a ton of fun.
Man I can't remember the last time I saw this much copium, they are truly a separate species
