Mario Kart double Dash has a special place in my heart because my dad used to play it with me and we beat the game together, but I think my personal favorite is the Wii version.
Now I have to ask what do you guys think about the Mario Kart Live Circuit game? I played it with a friend who made a makeshift track in his house and had fun, but I feel like its one of those games where I would have fun one or two days and then never play again

Uh... there's two unique boost mechanics when you are in hover mode and your vehicle's handling changes. And it also opened up the level design options.
To be honest I have to agree with Marissa that it was mostly eye-candy and didn't really change the gameplay like two characters at once or bikes and tricks, the only use of it that I genuinely found fun and creative was the part where you go down a waterfall in Shy Guy Falls. I don't mean to

but F-Zero did much better a lot of what Mario Kart 8 tried, I even got a little vertigo in GX in a few levels, specially when there's a cylinder and you have to dodge things in the road. I think one of the reasons Wii is my favorite is because tricking feels like a natural extension of the series' formula, when I went off ramps in the other games I always felt like doing something to show off, and that's why it's very extensively incorporated into quite a few retro tracks in that game. Diving and flying was a more novel idea but I found it to not fit as well as the other new mechanics brought to the series, including two drivers, but there were a few creative uses for it, like having to choose if you want a booster or glider panel. Anti-gravity though feels very tacked on and I think it was added more from a novelty and presentation standpoint to attract new fans rather than from a real gameplay one, it looks cool but it doesn't change almost anything.

Yikes that's a mistake you are unlikely to recover from. I don't consider the hover mechanics as trivial as you two. Taking advantage of that stuff has won me plenty of races. Not to mention the fixed nature of the hover bumpers (unlike a Goomba) give you plenty of instances in which you can lure red shells to defeat them as they approach. They really enhance the higher-level gameplay. And their impact on the developers in terms of enhancing level design cannot be understated. That alone fuels a great deal of the uncertainty about the upcoming level remasters seeing as you have at least one track with near-vertical driving on standard road. So you might not notice the impact they've had. But your brain did. And that's the sweet spot when it comes to adding new stuff to a game.

MK8 falls short of this with their abuse of jazzy sax in many unfitting tracks.
>Not liking Electrodome, Sunshine Airport, Rainbow Road, Super Bell Subway, or Ice Ice Outpost
My dude, I'm a fanatic of Dance/Techno, but even I can appreciate at least a FEW genres and instruments outside of what i listen to.

Here we-BOOM Here we-BOOM Here we-BOOM Here we-BOOM Here we-BOOM Here we-BOOM Here we-BOOM Here we-BOOM Here we-BOOM

Here we go!!!

I'm a Peach player.
I don’t even remember who I mained. All I remember was the last Mario Kart I played I spent a lot of time playing as Waluigi riding on a Mr. Scooty because the visual of him riding on tiny scooter with those long ass legs and waving around his arms and laughing maniacally was hilarious to me.

If Peach is an option, I'm all up in that.

Double Dash has a special place in my heart because it was actually the first Mario Kart I played, as well as my general affinity for 'Cube era Nintendo.
