Marketable Wolverine LMAO

(he's tall and he waxes his arms)

I don't see it surviving. Overwatch fell off because it's core design is frustrating and anti-fun, but these developers aren't figuring that out. All they see are the profit projections Blizzard had (and are in no way based in reality) and think this fundamentally wrong formula just has to be executed right.
Well there's very few shields in this game (both barriers and health shields) and the ones that do exist are substantially weaker here than in OW. Even the Engie/Torbyorn of this game (Namor's squids) aren't that strong and only last for like 15 seconds before despawning. One of the biggest things that killed Overwatch was GOATS fag shit where no one could kill anyone and while it is annoying to see some characters pump out retarded damage, I'll take that if it means we won't see a resurgence of that meta in this game.

Are their people that are also either hesitant or refuse to play the game, because of NetEase developing it? Is boycotting games that are Chinese-made or involved still a thing?
If anything a Chinese dev is probably a plus compared to having a bunch of trannies involved.

Counterpoint, Overwatch fell off because the market that was gonna waste 60 bucks on a game fell off. I don't see the chinks pushing retarded lore, the lore for these heroes is already retarded, so you aren't gonna be pissing off the culture war crowd much if at all. The coomers are gonna be spending cash and sperm on this, and the terminal gamers will oscillate between this and Deadlock because, fuck it, free.
Yea OW never really did anything with the game (besides adding ranked mode, that is)

They never really added interesting game modes and stuff.

I mean, they did add custom games, but that was too little, too late.

Hate to break it to you, dude, but Wolverine has literally always been marketable. He's the most popular X-Men character there is. He's so popular they made him an X-Man AND an Avenger, so they could use him in all the big storylines. In the 90s, they used to put him on the front of every single X-book they had going, regardless if he featured in it or not, because people would see Wolverine and BUY THAT SHIT.

It's OK if you don't like the redesign, but don't pretend that one of the most popular comic book characters of all time has been toned down and made more marketable for the normies reeeeee. You just sound like a bitter hairy manlet, mad because your perceived 'muh rep-ruh-sen-tay-shun' has been taken away.

The downside of the farms is that people adopt contrarian stances even when they hold completely false or dumb positions (see the Wolverine post or the one about OW not adding new game modes throughout its lifetime)

It's been super fun for me but I think it's just because I miss OW1
Though it's kinda shit if you don't have a healer. Game needs a "MEDIC!" button too.

It's not the only reason, that WEBM just provides a quick visual example. I tried Marvel Legends and it suffers from the Overwatch thing where your gun feels like it's shooting marshmallows most of the time. Constantly healing the DPS from your automatic weapon (which you have to track endlessly) feels horrible. Quake solved this years ago by having semi-auto guns that do a lot of damage immediately.

I've been having fun playing with friends but I can't see myself ever playing this game alone. Don't care about the I.P and the hero shooter fatigue is starting to settle in. I'll make the most of it before they start nerfing all the "OP" (fun) characters.

Tried it and its overall a fun game while solo or friends. Rank is pretty shit atm because people cant coordinate for shit or have the common sense of switching or changing roles. Speaking of roles, one nitpick is that currently there's no role queue, so you can get a party of 6 tanks and roll with it, which is fine in casual, but ive seen it in ranked. If youre a marvel comics enjoyer, youll enjoy the little details if not, i feel is a good enough game that could keep you interested.

Played a few rounds. It's fine, definitely not as polished as overwatch on release
This was my feeling, as well. The menu UI is confusing as fuck. Combat feedback isn't as good as OW. There will be times that I just die without any indication that I was taking damage in the first place. And the balance feels off. Damage feels way too weak against tanks. A good tank will dominate a match.

Idk dude, Marvel Snap is apperantly still making big bucks few years later. Devs forgot that to make people play a game for years you just need to make it appealing and not fuck up the gameplay.

If you want to speed up the death in the game, sure. I enjoy swapping around even when eating shit to just fuck around and some of my most fun in Overwatch was just going ham with gimmicks. When multiple people could not use the same hero it was a tragedy, a 6 man Roadhog team was pure hillarity.

Anyway, start making the game "serious" and you end up with the same problem all fighting games end up with but worse since you can't just rely on yourself.

Agreed. Specially the feedback, I seem fine and then dead, if you aren't looking at your life bar like a hawk you won't notice. Healing seems overtuned with tanks, had cap going nuts next to the enemy base against like half the team and I was able to keep him going with Dagger. They should have bumrushed me of course, but that's beyond the point.

Then I got eager making an ass of myself with Cloak and suddenly we lost all momentum.

I'm still in the honeymoon phase though, so still want to play and fiddle with characters.

Also, nobody should expect this game the still be hot shit in a year. Basically, if you are curious, play it now, the best times in these sorts of games are when people are still kind of just fucking around and getting to grips with things. The tryhard phase will eventually come but the "everyone just wants to play around" phase is usually very short lived.
