e: sorry for the necro, wanted to post something terminally exceptional i saw on mastodon.

After spending some time in the KF Pleroma node, I decided to take a gander at what goes on in the normie world of Mastodon. This is the first post that showed up in my federated timeline.

I'm just saying, I'm both glad and upset that these people don't federate with more instances. I'm glad that they don't because I don't have to see this nonsense on my feed whenever I'm using Pleroma. I'm also sad that they don't because I'd love to see the chimp-out that'll happen when they get dunked on.
I really wish the basic mode forced everyone to federate with each other. It would be way more fun. The draw of early Twitter was that every user was basically forced to interact with the general populace. Shitty ideas got dunked on.

So, I was perusing through my federated timeline for no other reason than pure boredom.

I just thought it was hentai at first, but it turns out that someone's stupid enough to upload their sweaty man tits and flabby, marshmallow body onto the goddamn fediverse. Meet The Unvisable Cummittee.

The instance he's part of is an anarchist hugbox btw.

I wonder how long it'll be before they realise they're federating with Kiwi Farms.

A “LARPing commie” with a gay Antifa flag who can’t even be bothered to lose weight? If they can get banned on Twitter for doing stuff like this, then what makes them think Mastodon won’t flag this for being too NSFW?

I like Mastodon in concept: the UI's serviceable for the most part and I can access other instances on mobile via Tootle. In practice however, it feels pretty dead for the most part. What I didn't realize getting into it was how absolutely pozzed the userbase was. I actually thought that it was a decentralized alternative to Gab where Qtard boomers and double-digit IQ wignats made a steady majority of its users, only to find out it was the exact opposite, full of tranny programmers, dangerhair ancoms, art school dropouts and all the other lefty stereotypes we've grown accustomed to encountering on Twitter

So here I am now, searching for a Twitter alternative in the likely event that Twitter becomes more aggressively censorious within the next decade, with three different instance accounts I barely use because I feel like I'm walking on eggshells whenever a thought crosses my mind that I wanna post. Pleroma is better imo, even if I find the UI kind of wonky.

EDIT: Please excuse my newfaggotry, I should have lurked in this thread more since I'm clearly treading water. Have a post that made me chuckle from the month or so I used Mastodon.ART:

Your mistake was choosing an instance that is probably pozzed and filled with lame people, you could easily join an instance that (lets be honest, probably uses Pleroma) supports free speech and still follow all the non shitty parts of Mastodon.

I actually started out on PayPig, which is censored by most of Masto to my knowledge, and branched out to a couple general instances like MastoArt. I feel like Freeze Peach Mastodon has a lot of similar problems as Gab in terms of the kinds of users they attract, but I guess that makes sense since Gab is forking Mastodon anyway.

I joined Mastodon as an entry point to the Fediverse, because without doing any research like a good boy, I naively assumed that its userbase shared the same values as I do about a decentralized internet. Instead, I found a bunch of trannies screaming about killing TERFs in one corner and alt-right spergs spamming 'nigger' in the other; both groups are just here because they got too rowdy for Twitter's liking.

Mastodon will only ever accommodate fringe groups of millennials and apolitical Asians. The cross-compatibility between federated platforms is too confusing for boomers and normies.

My best recommendation to you is to create your own instance, even if to only serve yourself. This way you'll be able to federate with mostly everyone without having the mark of a free speech site, and cater to your own rules. It's cheap and there are guides/services to help you create one. fediverse.express is a good starting point. There's also Alex Gleason's Tribe service and more.

Main mastodon instance is full of bots posting random postmodern "art" and fucking Venezuela/Maduro shills from my view, where do I go to find the real crazies

I came across a famous Lolcow on Mastodon.social years ago I think y'all know about Mircea Kitsune.
Anyways, I snooped in his monologue and started taking screenshots of his sperging out. He was unhappy those kids couldn't watch porn and called the UK government a hateful regime.
There's also a boomer joining in to rant with our protagonist about the system.

BTW, none of this is archived and I'm the one to blame here.

Basically, when I saw the post, I decided to screenshot all of it just to have something to share to the internet, but afterward as it is basically a tic for me I reported it too for promoting what amounts to degeneracy.
I honestly had no faith in humanity and no matter how much a post was breaking the rules of a website it would stay even after I reported it. I did that on Youtube, Twatter, Reddit and on plenty of other sites and each time the post was still there even if it was a socialist literally encouraging violence and riots like what's been happening since 2016. None of this would ever get taken down, so expecting nothing I reported him and logged off.
When I came back online 1 week later via a bookmarked link with the goal to archive all of it the account vanished, it was banned and of course the post was gone with it. I couldn't even find the replies which told me that the boomer either got banned too or all the stuff he wrote was deleted.

TL;DR I reported him, he got banned and it's only one week after I reported him that I intended to archive everything, but it was too late.

Always archive first, dumbass. Especially if you intend to kill the content you're archiving.

But more importantly, aside from the obvious degeneracy and underlying pedophilia, where's that other guy pulling info out of? It hasn't been getting more acceptable for kids to see violence. In fact, the farther back in time you go, the more insane things kids were just allowed to be present for. The past hundred years has been a major content rating lockdown as well.

Was he banned for the pedo shit or for calling Britons boiled apes? He's degenerate but I have to admit that I chuckled. Did he have any other social media linked to his account?
