The way the blog post was written it genuinely sounds like 'imminent threat to human life' was his own. Like he didn't want to do this but was given some kind of ultimatum. I know it's not the first time he's done this, but the PR statement basically admitting they know this is a mistake sounds like Keffals and the gang were the bigger threats.

Giving them what they want will definitely make them less violent and go away! Surely!

It's one of the sad parts about all this, there aren't many independent forums left these days, most of the internet are either burning ruins of troonacy or moved to reddit and twitter where they become insufferable garbage. There's 4chan but that's a very different user experience and is infested with trolls.

matthew’s weak will gives out the message that all you have to do to get a site shut down is gayop the shit out of it.

in his first blog update he said that dictatorships were citing cloudflare’s TOS to get human rights organizations cut off. no one cares enough to try a large scale attack like this on a website like 4chan, but powerful people in control of entire countries have the means necessary to pull the same strategy on sites they want to censor.

whether or not matthew’s first blog post was sincere, he’s made it clear that cloudflare will bend to your will if you threaten them enoug.

They don't want free speech. They want uncontested speech where they can groom, castrate, and rape kids, and if you say how that's fucked up or even don't praise it enough the you're fired and your life is ruined.

While it's almost certainly not going to happen, Cloudflare redirecting to a PR statement about how they think Kiwifarms should be taken down and then reinstating the site a few days later would be 100% the funniest outcome.

You know, the whole #DropKiwiFarms thing is an activist movement which goal is for Cloudflare to stop giving service to the Kiwi Farms, right? And every activist movement by design calls for it's own self-destruction when their goal is achieved. #DropKiwiFarms has achieved their goal, and did they dissolve now that KF is no longer being protected by Cloudflare? No, they have now moved onto harassing every single person related to Cloudflare to take the entire company down. This is the exact same thing as with the entire LGBT movement, it was first basic shit like gay marriage and equal rights, but after they've achieved that they've been moving the goalpost and now we're at "let pedophiles rape children you bigot". And with every movement like this there will be a turning point where the general public revolts over it and all that they've accomplished will be completely reverted in a very quick progression. They will never stop doing what they are doing because they have an ulterior motive that they want to fulfill, whether it's get money from chumps who support them or to continue the vicious cycle of destroying everything around them as it's the only thing that brings them joy.
