MCU Television and Animation Series on Disney + - WandaVision, FATWS, Loki, etc

I was completely ready to cringe at Kate being some girlboss that outshines Clint but they've handled it well so far. Kate's talented but Clint's obviously much more experienced and her superior, especially in fighting.

I'm hesitant about the Black Widow stuff. The show's only six episodes long, so shoving in some revenge quest for Yelena might be overstuffing it.
Allegedly she only shows up in the finale but I hope at least the show shows how Clint both copes and heals from losing Natasha. Would love Obi Wan Romanoff somewhere in future lol. But maybe she and Chris will return for the multiverse stuff.

Did you know that Disney+ also has Goof Troop, Dark Wing Duck, Rescue Rangers, and (the good) Duck Tails? I'd imagine that it has more than that though~ and all of that is only "slightly" censored. !

Not having Song of the South is sacrilegious. Do they have the oriental episodes from Talespin? Let's find out

You know what? I more than agree with you, that is bullshit.

I honestly couldn't tell you why, but Disney will never fucking acknowledge Song of the South ever again, even though anybody who has actually seen it (including both of us, I believe I can correctly assume) would tell you that there was literally nothing racist about that movie.

To the people who have never actually seen Song of the South, but have nevertheless heard that it was a racist film... No, Uncle Remus was not a slave, not even in the context of the movie. His literal only 'crime' (which wasn't even a crime back then, and obviously shouldn't fucking be one now...) was being a black man who played a major role in a Disney film that came out in the mid 40's.

James Baskett, the man who played Uncle Remus, literally won a fucking Oscar for the role... He was the first black man to ever win one, and frankly he deserved it. - And this was *many* decades before Hollywood first got pozzed.

Despite canceling the film years after the fact, Disney have still made a shit ton of money from the Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah song alone. I somehow had this VHS growing up, (even though it's apparently several years older than I even am... It still came out several decades after Song of the South originally did.) I couldn't even tell you how many times I watched it when I was little... But it was a lot of times.

This is only slightly related, but IIRC over the years, the left have also been especially shitty to Hattie McDaniel, the first black woman (and actually the first African-American in general) to ever win an Oscar. It's almost like the leftists in the US are actually the racist ones...

Her Oscar is missing. The worst part is nobody knows when or how

I can understand to a degree feeling that the live action parts are a little thick on the OH LAWDS, but the mouse still kept the shorts in circulation and nobody died from it
But yeah, Zip was basically one of the main songs at Magic Kingdom for ages.

I found this article (Archive) claiming that Marvel fans are boycotting Hawkeye because the artist on the comic book run its based on wasn’t paid royalties, but like most articles like this they’ve only found a handful of tweets that support their claim.
Marvel is notoriously stingy with royalties, but to be fair, the artist didn't create Hawkeye or Kate Bishop, and his art is shitty hipster drivel.

Matt Fraction is the only person that should be getting credit for what they are doing.

Unless they're really trying to throw us off and troll, Echo's uncle is definitely Kingpin. That laugh sounded exactly like Vincent D'Onofrio.
I agree. I heard his laugh a lot watching Law and Order criminal intent reruns. That I can say I am 90% percent sure that's him

I've heard people say the place where the auction takes place in episode 1 is the same building where Kingpin and Vanessa are arrested at the end of Daredevil S3. Not sure if there's any truth to that, but it's clearly him and not some Ralph Boehner schtick.

Yeah, the first 5 seasons of CI are still my favorite police procedural TV series.

If they do introduce him as Echo's uncle I wonder how big a role he'll have in Echo's spin-off series and if Daredevil will show up in it, given his connection to both Fish and Echo (in the comics, at least).

Iirc he was confirmed as a cast member so its probably him. Plus with Matt Murdock appearing in Spider-Man....and the rumor Jessica Jones will show up for The Marvels its not unlikely.

I just need my Yelena fix. Evidently she stole from Sam Fisher's cache for her new gear and outfit.

It would generate a lot of goodwill for them to bring back the Netflix cast and repurpose them for the MCU.

I'm curious to see how they'll handle integrating the Netflix characters. Specifically if they'll be the exact same characters or if they'll treat the Netflix shows as being part of an alternate timeline, allowing them to keep and discard what they want. There was a rumor a while back that they were only interested in keeping Cox and Bernthal while wanting to recast Iron Fist and Luke Cage.

While I think they’ll go the alternate timeline route, I’d like to see Bullseye from the third season of Daredevil pop-up again in the Thunderbolts or Dark Avengers.

she's baaaaaaaack.....to write Clint's name in blood

Just watched episode 5 of Hawkeye. Gonna be a nutty finale.

Kingpin confirmed, he's wearing his white suit. Not sure if there's slight CGI to make him bigger or not because he only appeared via a photograph in Kate's phone. Kate's mum has connections to him and she hired Yelena.

I wonder how they'll tie that into the Black Widow credits stinger with Valentia Fontaine.

Happy to have D'Onofrio back. Hopefully they don't fuck up the finale because so far this as have been my favorite of the Disney+ MCU shows.
