This may or may not be a post-meta ironic gaslight but this may or may not be a leaked description page for the surefire RC-4 (their looks to be the faintest line between the flash hiding assembly and the main body of the can so possible photoshop? Andrew of OCL commented on it like it was real)

I’ve seen the future of gun shows and it’s nothing but overpriced pre-V series Glocks once the $800 SKS’s dry up.

Good GOD, I hope its $800 for a half decent one at least.
Most of the ones I saw were type 56’s. Not a bad rifle by any means but also not worth almost double the normal price.

gun shows
I gave up on those for anything but very, very specific old guns that I'm willing to slightly overpay to avoid Gunbroker fees/shipping and new shit that's never on the shelves. Never go there to browse, don't go for mainstream old stuff because it's mostly boomers/meth-addicts trying to get their return on investment.
The last one I went to, which was last year, didn't even have jerky but the taser booth was still there.

Hopefully the changes are contained to the slide and FCG. I have a couple of p80 frames that still need slides. Profoundly homosexual. I pray for the day the ATF flies too close to the sun and burns up like Icarus. Inshallah, their grotesque contradictions will one day reach critical mass and collapse from the burden of their own hubris.

Would that be any worse than the tidal wave of PSA AR-15 parts builds and chicom knock off "tactical" optics?
I don't even bother with gunshows anymore. My local gunshow still has the same exact inventory as it did a decade ago. I remember going the day I turned 18 to buy my first (non-straw purchase) gun and then coming back on leave from a deployment 6-7 years later only to see the same exact guns. I saw the same exact firearms "for sale" that I did when I was 18. I'd liken gunshows to art house exhibits or car shows rather than market places because it seems people would rather show off than actually move goods. The most interesting stand is this fat autist selling baofeng accessories / FM manuals but he doesn't attend half the time. Surp is dried up. The only time I found a firearm that was cheaper than buying it online + shipping + FFL fees was a last ditch Arisaka. The guy I bought it from had trainer actions listed at the same price lmao.

No I'm not paying 1k for a your c308 with a century monkey angle grinder bolt head
No I'm not buying your Chinesium mystery meat accessories or kitty cat knuckles.
No I wont buy your dubious salted meats or water filters
I'm not paying $50 for your pristine "Vietnam era" ALICE pouches
If you pull up Gunbroker to gaslight me mid-negotiation I will simply walk away

My old man still goes to practically all of them.
When my son can make it we'll tag along to make a guys day of it.
Otherwise I don't go anymore.

Gun shows are like 90% dogshit vendor booths and gun store inventory but I've seen good deals on shit I don't care about and I've bought a handful of cool guns for reasonable prices.

The only lemon was the sterling 25 acp that keyholes every round but I paid a hundred cash for it and it doesn't jam. Its amusingly shit

Keyhole'd 25 acp probably does more tissue damage than a regular 25 acp hole. You've got at least 60% more hole if it goes in sideways. That's a steal right there lmao

The virgin 5.56 that only starts tumbling when it hits something vs. the chad ring of fire .25acp that starts tumbling straight from the muzzle.

Haven't been to a gun show in years. Used to go about once a year with my old man and sometimes his work buddies. I think the last time I went to one was when I took the SPAS-12 I used to own to sell it. Slung it over my shoulder with a sign sticking out of the barrel "$1500 OBO". Someone offered like $1400 for it and I took it. Considering I bought it for like $950 NIB, I think it was a decent deal. This would have been like 2005 or 2006.

back in the 60s-80s there was .38spl loaded with 200 gr bullets. they were barely stabilzed and were meant to tumble on impact to dump all the energy into the target. was primarly carried by the police but started to slide out of use when .357mag started to become commonly issued (early 80s)

Did they have adequate penetration though? Birdshot will dump all the energy into the target, but not necessarily cause a physical stop.
