I have heard through echoes that .454 is considered the baseline, hard cast projectiles over all, and 10mm in an autoloader if desired. Keep in mind that people still use .357 and .44 as well.

If you're in black bear territory I'd suggest any handgun that you would also be comfortable downing a deer with, specifically.
Grizzly bears, I'd find a new spot. No offense.

Black bear? Anything from 9mm and up will do, hard cast lead is preferable. FMJ works in a pinch too. For brown bears I'd feel more comfortable with something like a lever action in 45-70.
It’s black bear and feral hog bot mostly hog. I was leaning towards a 10mm but wanted to see if anyone else had any other suggestions.

Good job getting the PCC configuration instead of pistol. A decent brace that fits one of those is a pain in the ass to get; never in stock, way too expensive, and not as good as the (also way overpriced) factory stock regardless. Solid gun, enjoy. Don't shoot CCI aluminum through it.

Anyone here have any good upgrade recommendations for the 92FS? I already know about the LTT trigger bar, and a new hammer return spring seems like a given, but I really want to see how much I can squeeze out of it. No optics cut though, that shit looks goofy as fuck on a Beretta.

Maybe consider a G conversion.

Nerd, just get those $1 safety glasses from Home Depot. I've caught a ricochet cartridge before with one and it works just as well as $200 marketing speak whatever glasses.
If you're that autistic that you need something "rated", you can get surplus Gulf War era army goggles with two or three lenses all day for 20 bucks.

I'm a nerd too. I have like four pairs of those goggles. One in my Jeep, one in my go bag, and two in my safe just in case I go with someone without eye pro. Fuck, I normally just shoot in my Randolph Engineering aviators.

Oakley SI is the standard modern safety glasses for shooting sports as well as law enforcement. there are several models to choose from. i generally wear that or Randolphs (lmao modern Raybans are lame). old school B&L Rayban Outdoorsman or Remington Kalichromes are also quite good if you prefer the style or plan on shooting in very bright areas.

Whats your dream hunting scenario?

I enjoy varminting quite a bit with a .17hmr bolt action savage on flat plains but, I've always wanted to do a helicopter hog hunt. .300 BLK 100 round drum, All the action and adventure one could want completely guilt free as I'd be eradicating pests from the land.

On the topic of AK's. Kalashnikov USA posted a video a few days ago and said there would be some big news coming out this next week about their AK-104 platform. They originally announced and showed off their KR-104/KP-104 at Shot Show in January and said the release date was Feb/March.. so hopefully after a whopping 6 months they will officially be sending them to dealers and distributers for purchase.
