I have to wonder why is my red dot zero out of sync on two ARs that are of the same length barrel wise.

I placed the red dot at the same position on each of them and they don't line up with the irons on the other one as I decided to do a full co-witness.

However one AR is a carbine length gas system block with flip up irons and the other is a mid length gas block with flip up irons.

California has banned simple possession of unfinished, unserialized 80% lowers.

(at the bill link you can see in the preceding section they have redefined unfinished 80% lowers ("precursor parts") as "firearms")

California being the first in line to fear monger and ban anything.

Also they are relying on the 9th circuit to drag out the bans on regular ARs and standard capacity magazines as much as possible as well.

The only solution is massive non compliance at some point if r/CAguns wasn't filled with cucks and Calguns filled with doompillers.

I eagerly await the day that Commiefornia, NYC, Jersey, Chicago, etc. are all dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century not being allowed to ban ANYTHING gun-related.

There are going to be small variations from rifle to rifle (even seemingly identical rifles from the same manufacturer), which is why you can't typically just swap an optic from one gun to another without having to rezero it.

Edit: as an aside, you would ideally also zero your optic and irons independently - if your irons are zeroed, zeroing the optic to match is good as a starting place, but you should still confirm with a few shots and adjust as needed. Same goes for the other way around.

My Nightingale Leather custom shoulder rig finally arrived and I absolutely love it. I just wish it wasn't summer so that I can actually wear it out and about. Probably the finest custom leather holster I've ever owned and really well designed. With the strap horizontally crossing the back it eliminates the need for tie-down straps connected to your belt/pants waist, so it doesn't restrict movement and is very comfortable. I also bought four of the Vickers Enhanced Tactical 8rnd magazines since the Chip McCormick 10rnd mags I was carrying for my reloads are a bit too long to be used in the mag carrier and would print. They're really excellent mags and the bodies are a one piece design for strength and to help limit debris and dirt from entering into the mag.

I also spoke with Auto Mag Ltd. a couple weeks ago. They are finally shipping out Auto Mags at a rate of ten to twelve pistols per week. My Auto Mag is something like 177 on the list and they were in the 120s when I talked to them in the middle of June, so I should have my pistol by the end of the month if everything keeps going well. Ian on Forgotten Weapons just recently did two videos on the new Auto Mag 180-D and said he was very impressed with the new guns and praised the updates and improvements made to the design, stating that the pistols are finally what they should have been from the very beginning. He even took the sample gun sent to him for review to a Backup Gun match and had no issues or failures to report. That definitely makes me all the more excited to finally be getting mine. I ordered a 20rnd box of 240gr hollow point .44 AMP cartridges from SBR Ammo so that I'll at least have a little on hand when my pistol arrives. I've found an outfit that does custom hunting loads who are also offering .44 AMP ammunition with a much wider variety of bullet styles and weights compared to what SBR Ammo is offering, and all of them loaded much hotter, with some loads in the 1500ft. lbs. of energy range at the muzzle compared to the around 950ft. lbs. of muzzle energy for the SBR Ammo rounds. They even offer a 300gr jacketed soft point loading, much like Dirty Harry said he used in his Auto Mag in the film Sudden Impact. And the custom stuff isn't all that much more expensive than the SBR Ammo factory loads. I'll have to buy a variety and see which loads my pistol prefers when it arrives.
Looks really nice. I personally use the Phlster Enigma and a 4.5" Walther PDP full size. It conceals nicely for me.

Buckle up, gentlemen. Shit is probably going to get stupider now that there's a jew in chief of one of the most hated Federal agencies.
He also served as the chairman of the civil rights subcommittee as part of the attorney general’s advisory committee under former attorneys general Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch.
Beautiful. Wonderful. Fan-fucking-tastic.

It's not gonna be another Waco. It'll be closing FFLs for clerical errors, and other such oily tricks.

In other news, I'm shopping for new grips for my Ruger Wrangler, and am sooooo tempted to go for the cholo pimp grips, just for the lulz.

ETA: pic related.

Any suggestions on carry pistols for self defense while in back country? Looking for something to carry while hunting. Also welcome recommendation for holsters and ammo.
Both pig and bear
I have heard through echoes that .454 is considered the baseline, hard cast projectiles over all, and 10mm in an autoloader if desired. Keep in mind that people still use .357 and .44 as well.

If you're in black bear territory I'd suggest any handgun that you would also be comfortable downing a deer with, specifically.
Grizzly bears, I'd find a new spot. No offense.

Black bear? Anything from 9mm and up will do, hard cast lead is preferable. FMJ works in a pinch too. For brown bears I'd feel more comfortable with something like a lever action in 45-70.
