Pinty is an import brand made in China possibly from any number of OEMs and isn't something that i would be comfortable selling to people. depending on the exact design, it might be a rebranded VisionKing or something. while the glass is typically usable, it likely has a very small eye box that expects the eye in a specific position relative to the ocular lens for focus. sometimes a thin protective plastic is adhered to the lens for transport, which should be removed prior to use. barring any of that, you might just have a lemon or something.
Well you spot on there with how I felt about the thing. At a certain position, I was able to see a picture but uncomfortable as hell overall to use.

This was when I was a first time gun owner and didn't know much about brands. I was on Amazon and like lol, all these cheap tacticool scopes like Pinty and CVlife sell some scopes that have a laser and scope and red dot all in one lol.

but the way it mates with the mount is with an atrached bracket that doesnt make it ideal for a carry around flashlight
ancient mall ninja secret: pistol magazine pouches for double stack designs like a Glock 21 are often roomy and stretchy enough to hold a weaponlight with attached mount. just need to measure the lower position of the attached mount and find a magazine pouch that either accommodates the length and width entirely, or just the width with a securable cover (snap or velcro) to hold the light on your belt. PALS should be belt-friendly as long as you don't mind a small amount of wiggle.

blackhawk makes a double pouch which can be a poor man's light + multitool belt pouch.

I have a couple guns-
I carry a Glock 43x loaded with Hornady Critical Duty 135gr +P ammo.
CZ-75 Compact for my inner faggot
Smith and Wesson K-38 Combat Masterpiece in .38 Special from 1957
Winchester Model 12 shotgun from 1951
Marlin Model 60 and a Ruger 10/22 for plinking.
SAR-2, basically an AKM chambered in 5.45. I put Russian/Bulgarian plum furniture on it for aesthetics, it also has had an AK-74 style muzzle device put on it.

I built my own AR-15, originally off an 80% lower but I replaced it with a Lauer Custom Weaponry one later on. It has
  • CMMG Lower Parts Kit
  • Larue Tactical MBT-2S trigger
  • SBA4 pistol brace
  • Some flat wire buffer spring I got for $10
  • Ballistic Advantage 11.5" Barrel, 1/7 twist
  • JP Enterprises 3 Prong Flash Hider
  • Aimpoint PRO red dot on a quick detach mount
  • Midwest Industries Combat Rail
  • A2 Front Sight Block
  • Streamlight HLX Flashlight on an Arisaka mount, switch is held in place through some cloud defense polymer mount.
I want to replace the flash hider at some point with a surefire 4 prong but I am not sure if that is going to happen anytime soon.

$1000 is their final price plus or minus any fees for delivery or shipping or taxes or something. these pistols were largely in storage and some were used by foreign militaries for various purposes, they are test fired and may have commercial replacement parts. where is this other $1000 coming from? the CMP doesn't even offer hand-select.
You know I was originally being facetious, right? I always thought CMP was charging too much for those handguns considering their age and condition so I always called them overpriced. I still remember how they wanted you to fill out two fucking 4473s for them (though if I recall, that was a condition the Army required for releasing the 1911s so not entirely their fault).

Them Radian weapons charging handle and talon safety looks good, problem is that they don't have the single side safety in black and I am not willing to buy new furniture from magpul for it.

All right all right all right.... Particle Bored Rimfire Shooting League open for enrollment.

(a Buckmark would finish off the set nicely, but the point of all the manual action is to slow the ammo burn, so it's not a priority)
Been spending too much time in A&H and missed this.

Current rimfire collection has been pared down a bit over the years and sits at a couple of modded 10/22s, a Savage B22 with the threaded bull barrel and a hilarious 16x scope and my Ruger Mk IV set up for Steel Challenge. I used to have a Savage 93 in .17HMR, but got tired of cleaning that thing and the dogshit factory magazines.

Reading up on Springfield Armory and looking at their rifles and pistols, apparently they pissed off a lot of people in their state?

Springfield Armory along with Smith and Wesson still sell their featureless versions of their rifles here so I can't complain much about them trying to screw over 2A rights.

This house exploded down the street from where I used to go to school; turns out the guy was reloading, and had something like six pounds of smokeless detonate.

Springfield Armory tried to do a cut out on several gun manufacturers a few years ago by bribing anti gun politicians and got caught. One of the several reasons I will never, ever give them business.

Many gun and ammo companies will still do business with law enforcement with states that are weak on 2A meanwhile the police unions support anti 2A measures. One of the prior reasons that I view Blue Lives Matter as retarded bootlicking but for a different team.

I didn't know that but given the state of California, they are one of the few companies willing to sell featureless entry level rifles here as they are way better than the fixed magazine ones and decent pistols that they willing to pay for to be on the roster here.

Kudos to Smith and Wesson telling the state of Massholes to go fuck themselves and move out lol, I guess they saw what happened to Springfield and decided to move out rather than cute a deal for PR purposes.

For Springfield to redeem themselves, move out of Illonis to Arizona or so other deep red state. Keep all the gun factories away from blue states.

Apparently I discovered a tool known as the Punch, now I'm like I am happy with what I have rather than try to replace the trigger guard and fuck it all up. Plus I don't have the means at this time to get a vice to replace the muzzle brake.

I remember having to open apart a Ruger 10/22 and didn't know at the time how to take out those pins could be done easily with a punch, in the end I used like some big circular hollow metal object to hold the receiver while I used an old screwdriver and a hammer to pop it out.

It gets addicting with all these parts to replace and upgrade and all that.

Just look up getting an armorers kit.

Springfield and Rock River Arms paid a lobbyist who pledged not to oppose an Illinois bill that would crack down on state FFL licensing as long as IL-based manufacturers were exempted, and also gave money to some anti-gun politicians. Naturally there was a huge uproar once this became public knowledge and Springfield and Rock River backpedaled hard and threw their lobbyist under the bus claiming they knew nothing about what their lobbyist was doing, which is probably at least partly bullshit. IIRC the bill never passed and has been dead in the water, in large part because of that backlash.
