You could easily save a couple hundred from that, to spend later on at least half of a very good red dot (Aimpoint won't be at any risk of banning/civil suits in the near term, LPVOs and chink red dots keep on improving), by going with a BCM gun. Still going to have a very well built AR.ok, this is my list

A fine choice. Daniel Defense has an excellent reputation for both their reliability and their cold hammer forged barrels, which should ensure that you won't risk outshooting your rifle in the foreseeable future. Personally, i would have recommended a LE6920 (not CR6920) or AR15A4, both by Colt. While the latter is somewhat less abundant these days, the former is still on the shelves. The AR15A4 is in my personal opinion, the single best firearm produced by nu-colt, although it's 20'' configuration might not be exactly what you are looking for in a rifle for a suburban home environment. One should be aware however, that Colt has recently had a recall on a batch of their AR15A4's for quality control issues.DanielDefense 5.56 NATO, 16"
While the Mossberg might just be the most distinguished manual-action shotgun ever to have existed on this earth, i would not recommend a pump action for someone someone without some prior experience. Short-stroking the firearm is very common for novice shooters. I would instead recommend you a shotgun of semiautomatic nature not only to eliminate the risk of shortstroking, but also to soften recoil, be that the Benelli M4, or the Beretta 1301. Avoid anything made in Turkey like a tranny on an online dating service.Mossberg 590A1, 12ga
Pistols are, as has been stated multiple times already, much more a matter of personal taste than rifles. Getting to personally experiment with gripping and shooting with various different pistols and comparing them to each other is paramount. While i believe the aforementioned Glock 45 is a fine choice by itself, i would recommend something somewhat larger for a full-size pistol in order to attain some mass for improved recoil mitigation. While perhaps subjective, i personally find heavier pistols more comfortable to shoot and their recoil easier to manage. I do however believe that the G45 would be a good choice for a more compact carry weapon.Full Pistol: Glock G45 9mm
Compact: S&W M&P9 9mm
Yeah get this stuff if you can afford it. As others have said you may want to go down a few hundred bucks on the AR and get a BCM or other quality brand and spend the money on a good optic(don't buy this shit on amazon).ok, this is my list

What you have here is great, though personally I'd recommend a Glock 19 for a compact pistol if you've already got a Glock 45(the slides are interchangeable on those frames iirc). Also, I'm late to the party but you're going to need sights on that rifle. Unironically, as someone who has a similar build to a DDM4V7 you'll be leagues ahead of other "my first AR" guys. I'd recommend either the basic bitch Magpul MBUS sights or if you want something more durable a set of Magpul MBUS pros will do you great.ok, this is my list

Don't forget that the adjustable backstraps that modify the grip angles *do* exist on the Glock gen 5 models. I'm not sure about gen 4s and prior but I know I put the beaverton backstrap on mine because I went from a 1911 to a Glock 19 and didn't like the grip.Light sperging:
Glock is popular because it works, but the subtle angle to the grip is not for everyone hence the war between it and the S&W M&P series.

PSA is fine to buy from as is CheaperThanDirt.com. PSA is a manufacturer and general gun store. Sometimes they have decent sales on non-PSA firearms. What website is the go-to? Palmetto?
I dont think ive ever found something on CTD that i didnt easily find somewhere else for cheaper.PSA is fine to buy from as is CheaperThanDirt.com. PSA is a manufacturer and general gun store. Sometimes they have decent sales on non-PSA firearms.
Also, the PSA brand firearm hate is from gun autists.
But they used to send me a catalog when i was young.I dont think ive ever found something on CTD that i didnt easily find somewhere else for cheaper.
Brownell's, MidwayUSA, Sportsman's Warehouse, even OpticsPlanet is better than CTD.
Glock factory sights are made from plastic because they're supposed to be replaced.I'm personally not a fan of the Glock factory sights, and recommend replacing with TruGlo TFX Pro.
I built a pistol so that I could not pin the muzzle device on a 14.5 inch barrel to keep the options open for suppressors. Is this autistic? An AR is a fine all-around rifle. AR pistols are meme guns for the most part unless you are doing something autistically specific.
Very Controversial take inbound: I can't blame people for pistol builds, taking advantage of loopholes within BS NFA laws are very beautiful. But, with our current politics it wouldn't be out of the realm of reality for pistol braces to get outright banned and turn millions of Law-Abiding citizens into criminals overnight like they did with bump stocks.I built a pistol so that I could not pin the muzzle device on a 14.5 inch barrel to keep the options open for suppressors. I asked my stream for 2 pistols, 1 shotgun, 1 rifle suggestion. From their input, this is my non-conclusive list.
AR15 M4E1 in 5.56 (Aero Precision)
Mossberg 590
Beretta 92
P365-380P365 in 9mm
I'm not set on the pistols or the AR-15 brand. I kind of want an M1911 .45 ACP because my grandfather has one and it feels very American, but the comparisons between .45 ACP and 9mm lean towards 9mm.
I'll give you my personal opinions on these.ok, this is my list

What's the difference again between the 43 and the 43x? I know I read an explanation once but I don't think it stuck. I have an 80% G43 that I like a lot. (though now I'm going to have to get it serialized because Maryland's ruling party hates fun)Glock 43x
43x is like the 43 but it has an extended grip, thicker beaver tail and front slide serrations. The 43x has a 10 round capacity over the 43, mags cannot be interchanged but they do remain single stack because S L I M.What's the difference again between the 43 and the 43x? H&K G11 for the AR.For the rifle he needs a .950 jdj
for the shotgun a Pancor Jackhammer

An AR is a fine all-around rifle. AR pistols are meme guns for the most part unless you are doing something autistically specific. ATF will let you turn a pistol into a rifle, but not the other way around. If you are going to want to do that, buy a stripped lower and doccument building it as a pistol first. Go for one chambered in 5.56. I have all the basics and now collect and shoot meme guns/calibers, stick to what's common until you have the basics in hand. The .357 sig/5.7x28/.429DE just fucking DISAPPEARS when the common stuff is in high enough demand.
For a shotgun, I recommend an autoloader for a first. easier to learn. Pump actions are great but there's a bigger learning curve and so much more can go wrong operating it in a high stress environment. Go with a .12GA and avoid the weird turkish stuff. I have a black aces bullpup shotgun and it has functioned fine so far but I'm going for the mossberg or the benelli if i need to use a shotgun off the range. Also pistol grip only shotguns, especially things like the mossberg shockwave, are meme guns for the same reason as AR pistols.
First pistol, I'm going to buck some advice trends here and recommend something with an external hammer like a CZ-75 or a Beretta 92. A larger pistol is more likely to be a range toy only and it's a good platform for learning pistol fundamentals. I can't recommend a revolver because I'm having a hard as fuck time consistently finding .357/.38 special.
The second pistol I recommend is a compact/sub compact striker fired pistol. Perfectly fine for carry purposes and no hammer to snag when drawing or uncomfortably press into you if you sit wrong or if the holster shifts.
PSA meme lower with Hera CQR gen 2H&K G11 for the AR.
