My little cousin has one of those in Nickel and found a cool flash hider that matched it (and had a neat triple-mag), but otherwise you're dead right. You see the same thing in the 870/500 shotgun parts market too.

Most are. The only one I respect is Kalishnikov, I won't touch his weapons. I've probably destroyed thousands in value and history because I hate communism (these are both USSR stamped receivers).

I have upgraded the trigger and magazine release so far, since they were official Ruger factory products.

However everything else in the Ruger Store is third party stuff.

The carbon fiber stock feels soulless and will settle for the Magpul since everything else sucks.

Makes me grateful for the AR trinkets market.

Pew Science and Jay are pretty controversial on arf's silencer forum in general.

The most recent was when CAT released their first silencer, the whole first thread ended up getting deleted.

What they were upset about basically boiled down to a new company can't just show up and outperform most of the silencer industry, and that CAT needs to pay their dues or something.

its a crying shame Ruger cancelled the P-series. they were fantastic, rugged, impossible to break and my P-89 had the best trigger on a DA/SA auto that i have ever experienced. its buttery smooth. you can still get them cheap too and often in like new condition. bought mine in 2022 and i'm fairly certain i was the first to fire it.

I picked up a pretty dual tone p345 that was sitting in the shop for $300 because of this post, I hope I'm not disappointed!

they all do to a certain extent. It's why i prefer wood. it's organic, every stock has a different grain, they seem "warm" to the touch compared to polymer/other material. *

Is wood weaker than other stock materials? maybe, but if i manage outright break a sound wood stock by falling or some other accident I doubt I'll care much because I'll probably be broken too.

*if the wood is good and finished right. some companies look like they pick out of the sawmill reject pile and others ruin the looks of a perfectly good stock by dipping it in hideous varnish (Uberti).

The modern world's most commonly used rifle has a wood stock.

And have not seen much in pictures of that rifle having a broken wood stock.
