How's the Nocturne trigger? I heard that's on of the improvements from the OG 09s
Oh really? I actually really like the trigger on my P-09 (though I swapped out the decocker for the safety and it admittedly has a few thousand rounds worth of breaking-in done, lol), so now you have me curious to try the Nocturne for comparison.

Bro if those come in for cheap, I'll consider getting one. Maybe.
Interesting. I'll keep it on my radar at least, see how it all goes.
Please stop doing this to yourself.

Posting this in case anyone finds it interesting or has more information.

I have a Finnish 1941 VKT M91 Mosin, SA Marked, Retooled for D166 rounds. CAI ST ALB VT Import stamp
From what I can gather from esoteric ancient gun forums and HTML webpages, it's a captured Russian rifle because they crossed out the distances on the elevations because Russia and Finland used different distance measurements. It also has other markings in obscure places, some I have yet to find catalogued online. I know Mosin markings are a rabbithole akin to reading tea leaves, but I think it's pretty cool. Let me know if you want pics of the other markings on the gun.

Story is my grandfather shipped it home from WW2. Pics below.
The petina/scarring of the stock lends me to believe it saw combat, but I am unsure.
Aside from the story being deboonked(Century Arms would not have stamped it were it shipped back during WW2[There is also no record of them importing single, personal firearms]), rust and beaten stocks can happen from transportation and storage.
7.62x54r.net is apparently defunct or at least not being managed or I'd point you there but it is indeed a captured Russian Mosin Nagant M1891 with a Finnish barrel.

I came across this ad on YouTube. The electronic voice was off putting enough. No paperwork started sounding my personal alarm bells.

I'm not a firearm enthusiast. Is an HK VP9SK as good as this ad describes?
That ad gave me cancer just from the sped-up voiceover. That said, I'd look at the other slim carry 9mm pistols (Glock 43X/48, SIG P365, Springfield Hellcat, etc.) before buying. Also, I'd be surprised if there's "no paperwork" (lol).

Every single clip in that video showed a different handgun. Not one of them was a VP9. I’m confused as to what the scam here is because it doesn’t look like they’ve attached a link to anything.

When you look at the rest of the videos on their channel it’s the same thing. The latest video is an ad for crab meat, same AI voice over slop.

They're well made rifles and even for $400 the build quality is better than a mystery meat AR or a KelTec, but if you can only have one long gun, a 5.56 AR makes more sense.
Personally love my chinknesium SKS every time I take it out. It's built well, you get a spike bayonet, really a lot to love. Yeah cheap 7.62x39mm is over. Luckily to a extent the market has caught up in that ammo is available. Do you have to pay? Yeah. Spam can days are over. But it's good ammo. That's my cope anyway lol.

Indians are looking for low hanging fruit and because the gun industry is so heavily skewed towards old retired people it's still very boomer coded and collectivist-minded it's pretty trivial to produce low quality content that people will engage with. Every single gun youtube channel like kentucky ballistics or garand thumb makes the same low quality engagement bait videos that are more about the demonstrative experience of looking cool with guns than the gun itself

i mean, for fucks sake, the best gun youtuber was paul harrel and he was a textbook narcissistic dickhead. his ego was immense and impossible to separate from his content and still produced more informative and objective content than everyone else simply because he actually created experiments to gloat about being correct instead of just jumping directly to the gloating about being correct part like most youtubers do. most guntubers don't even try to reach the bar of a man using a tape camcorder in his backyard shooting pork chops so it's really not surprising that indians are taking over that job too

It's engagement bait, first and foremost. Since you get paid for views it's more profitable than ever to just post random bullshit for the most attention you can get.
As an aside, the VP9 is good but I'd rent it or at least handle it in person.
If you don't care about the updates, now is a good time to get a VP9 as the new A1 is coming out, so I imagine most places are gonna start blowing out the old models.

If you can shoot one first, do it, but you won't be disappointed. The VP9 Match is really good, and you can get them for around 1k, r/n.

The supply chain shifted from Russia to Turkey and more NATO friendly Slav countries but they just can’t give us 40 cpr Tula boxes. *sigh*

Never thought I’d see a day where m855 is cheaper than x39.

Exactly, it's engagement bait to get ads. Basically ads you can play ads over. Sad thing is it works well enough that people can do it.

i dont think that it 'works' so much that they're attempting to collect the crumbs left on the table from the absolutely piss poor job the guntuber community has done in actually producing youtube formatted video content and engaging with the audience beyond just taking cell phone videos of each other, like they're so used to doing at men's bathouses. low effort ai generated slop gets clicks because it clogs search results but its not content that generates actual engagement and creates more content - which is the whole purpose of an 'engagement farm'

They're pretty good, and Palmetto has them on sale r/n iirc.
I am an unapologetic HK shill tho.

My nigger, a VP9SK with the Holosun SCS HK carry optic is literally the first thing you see when you click on this vid.

That being said, it shows quite a bit of the P365, too, because its AI slop.
