Nigga, I don't like the way Glocks look. They're bulky, blocky, and ugly as fuck. However, I bought one because they just work.
Don't be a faggot, get a Glock. (An H&K is also acceptable.)
I couldn't care less about how a self defense weapon looks. What I do care about is how they shoot, and GLOCKs simply don't shoot well for me. They fit my hand poorly and I have to work harder to shoot well with them compared to other pistols. When drawing a GLOCK and bringing it on target, if I do so where it naturally feels "right" for me then the front sight is always way too high over the rear sights. I have to consciously cock my hand down to line the sights properly. Whereas with an HK, a 1911, a SIG, CZ, Beretta...pretty much most other pistols will have the sights either properly aligned, or close enough that only a minor adjustment needs to be made. I've never fired another pistol where I've had to consciously and uncomfortablt cock my hand forward/down to get the sights in alignment like I do with GLOCKs.
If GLOCKs work well for you, great. If you like them, great. They're a perfectly serviceable pistol. But they're not some be-all/end-all universal weapon for anyone and everyone. That's why there are so many different makes and models available. There's no one-size-fits-all pistol.
