I suggest wrapping the handguards with gauze and grip tape, they conduct heat like crazy and will burn your hand.VZ-58
Good to know, this means mine is USASpringfield's been using forged frames in the US for 10-15 years now.
That's a big CCWI finally started CCWing a hammer fired pistol thanks to the platypus this year. As much as I could complain about not have the premium of a steel frame 2011; the weight really makes it a great compromise for me.

Think of it this way, Magpul Glock mags are cheaper and always in stock.
It's a locking rotary barrel like their recent 5.7, and 14 round capacity at least gives it some relevance in a crowded market.Oh my.... A blowback .380 with a polymer frame
Ouch
Yeah I was kinda disappointed by that. I'll be swapping it out for a wood set that will hopefully be a better insulator. One of the things that surprised me about the VZ58 is that the gas tube is open on the bottom so the gas just vents directly into the handguard instead of the receiver or through holes at the front of the tube like on an AKM. I'd imagine that's probably the culpritI suggest wrapping the handguards with gauze and grip tape, they conduct heat like crazy and will burn your hand.
I've gotten away with just wearing gloves, but heat is really an issue for the VZ. I found a guy that sold aluminum upper an lower handgaurds way back to mitigate it. They were also pic rails, so I added an angled foregrip as well. IDK if anyone is still doing that anymore though, but if the wood set still heats up just some padding should help.Yeah I was kinda disappointed by that. Are you actually using 10 round mags.Oh, it’s winter only for sure. But it was the perfect transition from my duty G17. Just swap over the mags, sro, and streamlight to a new base and feels like home. The only bad thing I have to say about it was this slip.

IDK about that shit lol

No, it's just because WA did the >10rd import law in '22; and as a buyer that slip they included was a little eyebrow raising to me in terms of corner cutting when you get 2 OEMs and 2 pmags. The 10rd'ers are great for bill drilling on the weekend still though. Are you actually using 10 round mags.
Looks like a Remington 1100/1187 with an extended tube.what gun is this https://x.com/mylocalgunshop/status/2013259842417242137?s=20 I need a gun
The 1100/1187 doesn't have a tang safetyLooks like a Remington 1100/1187 with an extended tube.
Yeah, missed that. More likely some Mossberg but I don't know them as well for what model. The 1100/1187 doesn't have a tang safety
yeah, IMBEL cut their contract and Springfield had to find other sources. The IMBEL frames were good. even with the foreign frames the rest was all american.Good to know, this means mine is USA
That's a big CCW
Platypus, Kimber, SIG, and Romulus all make excellent 2011s for under $2k
I'll do some looking. It's semi-auto so that slightly narrows the list down.Yeah, missed that. More likely some Mossberg but I don't know them as well for what model.
As someone who owns both a P10 and a VP9 the are not interchangeable. The P10 has a fantastic trigger with an extreme short trigger reset distance. The VP9 has an alright trigger but can’t win over the P10. It’s not unheard of VP9 owners to swap out triggers for Lazy Wolfs to make the distance shorter. The P10 also has a distinct advantage over not being move in the event of a jam. The VP9 gives a little and then stops similar to Glock and Sig P320. The P10 series is also way cheaper and I would recommend them to new shooters if they don’t want all the customization Glock has.P10, VP9, M&P, PDP, etc are all interchangeable. The only real difference is how you feel about them. Put any in my hand it won’t affect my performance.
Many people are just gonna swap the trigger anyway.
I've had the pleasure of shooting a P-10C (still own it) and the displeasure of shooting a VP9 (shot a friend's, only took me two magazines to decide I hated it).As someone who owns both a P10 and a VP9 the are not interchangeable.
