I saw the writing on the wall when I found out that the english version is the main version for this game even in japan, meaning treehouse's horrible censorship shit they jammed into the TTYD remake's script claiming it being "more accurate tot he original japanese" (a fucking lie) int he US release is just gonna be in the actual fucking writing probably.

Well that was true of the older Prime games as well. They were made by Retro and written in English originally, and the Japanese versions didn't bother making a Japanese dub they just had to read subtitles.

Metroid Dread was also English dub with Japanese subtitles in Japan, though I think that may have been written in Japanese first, localized, and then only dubbed in English since the Japanese and English scripts sometimes veered off from each other some in how things were worded, unlike the Japanese scripts to the Primes games which were stiffly literal translations.

The prime and dread ones were good though! That's the difference! This doesn't have the vibe of any actual metroid writing which is what's fucky. The closest thing to this shit is other M, the thing that they literally walked back on rewriting every game after super's plot with due to everyone fucking hating it!
 
I was disinterested as soon as they announced the open world and the bike. But, man. This is hilariously bad. Even games journo outlets are shitting on the character. Seeing all the Nintendies on twitter going out of their way to defend the character is pretty funny though.

Also one of Metroid's strengths people loved about it was how it managed to do plot and storytelling with minor amounts of dialogue.

No, it's been "fun kinda spooky and tense adventure in space with exploration" sort of game. The main character's in power armor for most of the game it's not meant to be coomer shit people like ana valens would jerk it to.

metroid is kinda similar to megaman, where you kill shit on varying places, the main character isn't really supposed to matter, unless you are keji inafune that is, fucking con man.

I grew up playing Metroid, that's why I know what it is. Apparently people forgot Samus was a big buff woman.

No the main character very much matters in both Metroid and Megaman. I don't like this thing people do where they act like the character doesn't matter just because they're mostly silent or the gameplay is the main focus. You don't see people claiming that shit about Mario or Donkey Kong, it's always the fun scifi or fantasy ones people make those retarded claims about.

EDIT: Also she isn't even that "big" either she's literally just a normal somewhat taller fit person appearance wise.
