it's sort of obvious i guess, but one thing that helps a ton with base class viability is getting cats with pumped con, and other stats but con in particular helps survive until they come "online". and stuff like having a cat with base 6+ movement to be a butcher, having base stat cats fill in the starting weaknesses instead of explicitly the best str but worse movement etc, then fixing str through levels. thief and others feel a lot better with "high" base con, helps druid's crow a ton, and it's kind of a secret mandatory thing for tinkerer since it affects the bot suit, too, which turns it from a liability to something that works when you have 40+hp. having like 16 starting hp feels shit for a lot of classes, especially if you don't get much health upgrades, or Lord forbid negatives. having like, a thief able to take a few hits changes your view of the class and makes them more interesting/viable, or intentionally like they should be, even though they don't get those stats as base which gives the impression they shouldn't be important for that class.
I skipped her by losing to her like a little bitch. She never returned. Zaratana came immediately after her, and now I'm fighting some terminator guy.
i've not run into that problem, but i always assumed it made them added to a rotation. have you tried sending one stray to the terminator until pyrophina's countdown happens? i don't see why it'd lock you into act 3's bosses exclusively when 2's are available
Steven does not have the option to resummon her available
yeah steven's for replays of beat bosses/content
That's not an issue, I'm far more prepared for Pyrophina now. (I am also smart enough to realize that something with PYRO in the name is going to do a lot of FIRE damage that spamming Cleanse might not be enough to mitigate.) I've got lots more cats with broken shit to abuse on them and plenty more that can spawn water tiles for the low low price of 2 mana a pop.
you don't need it i guess, but some things really good in that fight are the water hose item, water feeder for constant cleanse, the water mutation which you have i guess. i also was forced to work with a retard strategy as a last ditch effort, where i had a butcher with the damage=thorns, other thorn items i think, vurp, and only a water bottle that cleansed fire. i don't recommend it because it wound up being close af lol.
also, one thing that helps a ton is making sure you have an ability or weapon like pliers that applies weakness and making sure they're always applied. in the duel, remember you only have to damage/take down one, and pyrophina is easier to kill because zaratana has a turtle mode she activates periodically. i was scared of the 3 way duel at first but from my experience it's far easier than the singles because they mostly just try to fuck with each other, giving plenty of time to heal/move, but still make sure you have plenty of con and some revive jic
edit: also, one thing i newly learned, is that the persuasion rod quest, hope that's the right name, the fucking metal club that charms enemies, the quest and item are one time a save, apparently. don't fuckin know why, and apparently why dev is aware of it and only wondering if he should make the achievement unlock still if you fail. it's not a broken item and not easter-eggy like the ribbon so just weird.
speaking of the ribbon, take it with salt, but apparently the wiki says if you have a cat equipped with it, it skips a phase of the final boss in the infinite. pretty sure it actually just makes it harder with how the boss works though, unless it skips the ENTIRE standing phase. that's the only known use of the ribbon and seems to make sense with the "it shines great in the light" >most light in the game
