Infected MGTOW - Men Going Their Own Way

MGTOWs love to complain that:

1. Women are stupid, irrational, and overly emotional compared to "logical and rational" men.

2. Men have been tricked and played by those dang dirty snake-in-the-grass women since the dawn of human civilization.

3. Men who help women or show affection or attraction are "cucks" and "manginas".

4. Women who help men or show affection or attraction are shallow bitches with an ulterior motive.

Well, which is it?

Classic Catch-22 "reasoning".
These idiots will never admit how absurd and whiny they're being.

I still think my favorite thing about them is that a large portion of them are angry old men who project their mommy issues or ex-wife issues on others. That is perhaps funnier, since they accidentally show how creepy and broken they are at the same time.

I still maintain that it's like a support group of sorts. This is definitely a behavior outside of the social norm, and while I don't know personally, I'd think that the guys involved in this 'movement' feel at least a little ashamed of it around friends, family and peers.
Men associate with other men based on shared traits, meaning for example that a bunch of guys who like anime would be more inclined to hang out together than one guy who likes anime would hang with a bunch of other dudes who like carpentry, or whatever.
So, part of it is for solidarity since this is definitely not considered normal (just look at the ridicule it's getting ;)), and also for shared ideologies.
A lot if not all of these men have very likely seen their fathers, other relations or even friends getting ripped to shreds in the divorce court system, or they've firsthand witnessed the kind of woman who would take a man for all he's worth just because the marriage didn't work out. Courts (especially in divorce proceedings) heavily favor the woman and 70% of all divorces are initiated by women.
It's a scary statistic and I don't blame the MGTOW one bit for adopting this lifestyle.


(to head off the inevitable comments of "YEAH BUT": Obviously there's more than one way to react to a nasty divorce in your personal life and I acknowledge this, but some guys just freak out and decide to take this approach. While it's obviously a bit of an overreaction, I still think it's justifiable at least to some degree.)

That's the problem with MGTOW, though. It's natural and eminently reasonable to associate with people based on what you like or what you do--watching anime, playing sports, etc. However, any community based around what you don't like or what you don't do will almost invariably spiral down into retardation. We already have a thread in this subforum about sportssuck.org and how silly people vehemently and loudly Not Playing Sports get. Just as it's dumb to make a big deal of not playing sports, it's dumb to make a big deal out of not getting married or having relationships. It's far wiser to focus on what you are rather than what you're not, and far more productive to focus on what's positive than what's negative.

Using specific "technical" words and phrases (and abbreviations) makes you look more serious. "MGTOW", "SJW", "red pill", "cuck", etc., it's all the same.

I'd probably say rebranding MGTOW to something along the lines of "Single and Proud" would benefit them greatly.
