I only know about the place because an alumni did a documentary called "the last stop". It's a pretty heavy flick. If you watch the flick and see how a lot of these people never really recovered, I don't know, I kind of respect Mike if his experiences were anything like the other kids, that he came out of it as functional as he is.

I gave you the link. If it's anything close to what is described in the film, it's pretty clear the kids sent there were left pretty fucked up.

like i said in my post, Mike went from the big fish in the small pond to the small fish in the big pond, its one thing being the biggest bully in your high school to being the smallest in a school where the best bullies in the nation are sent. it clearly fucked him up because of how little he talks about it, but he admits to being the most sane person there and it did end up making him normal for awhile, he went from not being able to graduate high school to being a college graduate. You could tell later on how much he truely didn't learn in school either, considering he only stayed at elan for about a year and a half it can't be blamed on that.

Mike was a bad seed and was already smoking cigs and ditching school at like 10. which sounds weird but as suburbia showed, it was quite normal for kids back in the 1980s/1990s. its more about how notorious that school is, and most of why is the whole kidnap you and cut off all communication aspect of the school. if they allowed regular communication with your parents or friends it wouldn't be so bad, instead there is literally no difference between how they do it and how human traffickers do it.

That plus its so different from the lives these kids led, because they went from being able to get away with whatever they want, to suddenly being forced into a strict environment and to compete with others near their level.

I mean come on in mikes story he becomes the best student in the history of the school, becomes BFFs with his punk rock idol, even somehow managing to visit him personally while at the school and promised guitars and the opportunity to play in screaching weasel, falls in love with a staff member and leads a revolution of students and ends up with a 4.0 gpa and used it to go to a degree mill for an associates degree. Somehow there’s zero evidence of this from elan forums or elsewhere. Stevenson high says he just went there. It’s such a blatant and obvious lie to see how much Fritz would believe

He probdbly just got sent to some sped school or day care. Kid probdbly just found an article about it at online while he was on his scary stories binge in 2011 or whenever it was

Him and his punk rock idol lived in the same suburb of chicago, and they went from writing letters to being friends during the summer break, also you'd be surprised how easy it was to communicate with lower level famous people back then, because of the effort to write to people pre-internet you'd get a response. it also helps that his punk rock idol was literally the local garage band, its not like he was saying he was friends with green day.

Mike also admits the grades were bullshit and he dropped out of school, and ended up with a GED later on. also while Fullsail isn't well regarded, Mike clearly learned a fuckload there, its not the university of phoenix.

the opportunity to play was at a local spot that the band played weekly or daily, in terms of importance it would be like Null giving you a shoutout on MATI or letting you come in for a guest spot.

plus Mike only went in for 1.5 semesters right before it closed, way after its height so he wouldn't have been as well known. if Mike was lying about his timeline; he's easily the best liar i've seen. most of the pathological liars i know can't keep their lies about their life up for even one hour, Mike's got about 3,000 hours of audio and its pretty easy to get a timeline. its high school, alternative school, and then Elan.

the fact that he can say the same shit years over years apart when its episodes with 400 listeners that he never re-listened to, or his 2,000+ live viewer shows or the 20k viewers he has now its always the same stories.

Fritz was a fag that was there to be mocked and he always brought down the show when he wasn't in that role, his guilt about his upbringing meant he overcompensated by being a hardcore liberal when he turns into Sven after a few drinks, jew&black rants especially included but lots of people's whining about Mike is bullshit or stuff they heard other people say that they repeat.


You want to go after Mike? how about when he endorsed a scam site that stole people's credit cards because the guy offered Mike a 10% cut, or how about Mike talking about wanting to fuck the chicks on Nickelodeon even the ones only 13/14 years old?

How about him pretending to be an honest guy but never allowing talk of Carlson or his exgirlfriends for years. a lot harder for mike to play off the pedo allegations when he's talking about how fuckable a 12 year old's lips look.

I'd never buy merch from anything but at least with some of the old shit you could tell Mike had spent some time and had a decent enough interest in design and making that stuff look halfway cool and interesting. This shit is crazy lazy, but then again if you factor in the redbar merch way back it's probably above the total average and ppl will still buy it.

you can tell how many redbar detractors there are because no one is talking about Mike being a cheap jew with the $300. i know its a running joke, but it is hilarious how he did a whole takedown of a guy because he didn't understand the joke.

I think Mike's whole thing about not being a jew is due to his link to Judaism being through his dad and not his mother...aka, the most jewish interpretation of jewish lineage possible.

yeah, it's clearly a joke about himself. in the clip where he watches tim heidecker ask nick fuentes 'why is being a jew an insult to you, nick?' he says something like, 'growing up in Israel, everybody loved the Jews.. then I come here and I find out half my audience can't stand them!'.
