Does anyone else here think the Texture Update was terrible an got rid of the classic aesthetic of Minecraft? They wanted to "polish" the look, but it removed the simplistic aura that it had, and now with each update they don't even update the programmer art for people who prefer the old look. Everything looks gay now.
 
Is there a reason neutral mods like pigs and chicken etc. are not spawning ? Plenty of grass blocks with light under the sky in the regular grass biome. The only thing is that it is pretty high above the ground, but I can see sheep spawning in the vicinity. Has this something to do with the chunks ? Do I need to kill other neutral mods to free up space ?

I just use the plastic texture pack from legacy console edition. From when I last checked (havent played this game in a while), its still being updated, although I'm not sure if the updates are from fans or from whoever runs the 🤮Bedrock🤮Marketplace🤮.
 
Finished the landscape and started a new project.
I like how this landscape turned out with it's pallet and geometry, I might add a spaceship or building somewhere but for now it's done until I make a path through it.

I based this new project on the Harkkonen homeworld from the new Dune movies, particularly their arena.

The arena is explicitly designed so that only someone on the tower can see the whole area at once. It's actually a little claustrophobic for how large it is as the dome, walls, and geometry enclose you the entire time unless you're on the tower's platform. Which is exactly what I'm aiming for, after all the Baron's whole thing is control and oppression.
Of course, in the arena itself there's only one thing you can see above the walls.

I'm liking how it's shaping up so far, there's a lot more to go but it'll be a good one. The really big project is a road that connects all these builds, now that's going to be an ordeal.

Same thing happened with a bunch of random ancient pokemon ROM hacks.

This is the only real explanation for this IMO. This seems like it could be an overzealous IP protection company, since it says “on behalf of Microsoft”

Most likely, some AI or image recognition software they scan the internet with flagged it, and a boomer who's never played Minecraft thought it looked the same

It’s the exact type of thing a counter-notice is for

They withdrew the DMCA after getting dogpiled by sloptubers and e-celebs.
And yes, this was caused due to an "AI powered" DMCA service called Tracer.ai.

This isn't anything new either, there have been a few similar cases of this same scenario happening already in 2025, but those just crumbled due to not getting a big enough backlash and-or the fear of having to deal with legalities against Microsoft being overwhelming.

Was re-reading the old posts since someone sponsored the "Byuu obliterating someone's MC server" thread, did you give up? Assuming so since you stopped posting in here.
Also what would you folks like in a theoretical MC server? What mods if any? What plugins? Chances are it won't happen because "certain people" will not tolerate its existence.

It's gay that this can happen anytime to anyone because corpos just use unrestrained AI to do it for them, instead of just sending them a report for manual review. And victims can't do shit about it unless people cause an uproar because they probably use AI to auto-deny any appeals and thus the corpos don't know and don't care.
The future is grim.

Yeah, sort of...I kinda gave up since interest died down a few years ago.

The pack doesn't exist anymore if I remember correctly.

If you want to make a modded kiwi server though, I'd say there are pretty good options compared to even a couple years ago. A lot of old mods on 1.7.10 and 1.12.2 got newer community versions that fix tons of bugs and add new content. There has also been a lot of backports.

wasn't the pack meant for people to play with the central theme of it? people making servers was kind of a expected thing but not the main point of it.

not on your pc... i am talking about the first dimensional merge version, the slubbermutt inc. one i was unable to download when it was up.
