Minecraft

Ah yes, lets take a game that is uniquely organic and influenced by large groups or community of infinite spectrum of diversity (not the pozzed meaning of the word) because of its simple and meta nature.... And destroy that with useless EULAs and alienate groups like 2b2t and other communities that existed since the game was first in beta or newer, because their view or creativity doesn't align well; Bravo MicroSoft Mojang, you surely do understand your own game. Like its a shame that they really want to kill the grassroots indie game community to Minecraft just for that sweet extra cent (or some other reason).

Do you have a single fact to back that up?
What a shame. He was a good farmer. What a rotten way to die.

I'm dead serious man. These maps have shit that would make Warren Spector cum.
Deus Ex has the story, enemy design and combat but I don't think I've ever had a game activate a timed mechanism to destroy the starting base I was hiding in or place treasure in a blocked off room filled with invisible unkillable enemies that can escape to the rest of the gameworld if you aren't proactive in keeping the door sealed.
Minecraft's destructable world party trick really elevated it onto another level. I don't think I've had another game make me feel like Indiana Jones, defusing boobytraps and finding hidden treasure. So many games have made me wonder "Why couldn't I just destroy that wall?" or "Why couldn't I just bridge over that pit?". It's cathartic to just do what comes naturally and have the game fully designed around it.
You can do a lot of shit with command blocks (and they're extremely useful for facillitating things) but otherwise it's an extremely "pure" experience. It just drops you in a world with a bunch of rules and tells you to go for it.

E: Someone even managed to make somehing based on Homestuck that was actually good. SburbCraft was damn good. That's the power of Minecraft's formula.

sonic 1 and 2 says it's rated for kids.
but in the movie sonic sings abut being a gangster murderer hot stepper and tails has an alien pistol and bombs.
and yet it's rated PG as a kids film. hmmmmmmm???

yet subnautica is like REMOVE ALL GUNS BECAUSE THERE WAS A SCHOOL SHOOTING THIS ONE TIME....

minecraft is also now NO GUNS EVER AGAIN AND STOP SAYING MINECRAFT.
okay okay ill call it craftmine. or maybe ill just call it ALLmine and make my own shit. huehuehue.

i think the only ones they should actually be mad at is the captain sprinkles and whoever else made those god damn music videos.
those music videos got them a shit load of money in fan support, meanwhile these servers hardly ever bank unless they're a borderline criminal or a simp.

Do ratings even mean anything?

i like the part that it's a nigger movie and gunz and sheit is rated PG cuz niggers and not rasin kids right and stuff.
Funny, even Rise of Silver Surfer was more violent than the first Fantastic Four movie of 2005, and that was rated PG. It's further proof that the rating system of any kind is broken. Remember, Watership Down was rated U in the UK, but it contained way more grisly violent images.

Also keep in mind, the first Sonic movie was originally aimed for a PG-13, but toned it down to a PG rating because the studio did not want Sonic to say, "badass." I'm not fucking kidding, Paramount thought that mild profanity is not okay for a PG rating, but guns and violence is.

Considering that there is a Minecraft movie coming out in about two years, I will bet money that almost nobody will go see it especially what's happening now with Minecraft

The normies don't care. They will eat that up. Even if it's a really shitty movie.

Yep, Minecraft modding died after 1.12.2. Now we have like 4 modding API's, Forge, NeoForged, Fabric and Quilt. Troon infestation aside, this will only lead to death of Minecraft modding because no modder will be willing to try and keep their mod running across four different modding API's where each and every one of them will be incompatible with each other.

What the actual FUCK. I leave the Farms for a few days and I come back to this kind of black-cloud shit.

I'm actually trying not to cry because this indeed just crotch-kicked the modding community and new content makers at the same time. Why could they not just kick LITERALLY ONE SINGLE RETARD out of the project instead of forking FORGE the grandfather of half the mods out there.

I don't do online servers after the TeamExtreme shutdown made me lose years of hard work to the void; my mental health legit can't take that kind of hit again. But I very much care about the state of the community and they've just been nuked from within and without. Fuck this timeline.

There is literally no reason for an adult to play Minecraft unmodded, what the fuck. I don't think there will be a day of reckoning for the mods I use (mostly Minecolonies in the Life in the Village modpack) but I can easily see this just nuking a chunk of their fanbase.
Even the builders who specialize in "vanilla minecraft" often run modded servers just for some quality of life improvements.

I believe this will slide in and barely be used, but if i read it right microsoft can now nuke any video they want, in minecraft...

This is a terribly depressing revelation given that it essentially signifies the true death of Minecraft and the old spirit of the game, though I really can’t say it’s unexpected. Minecraft as a game is just too free, unique, and centered around creativity to survive in the modern hellscape Clown World… much less when it’s owned by a globohomo megacorporation like Microsoft. These people don’t want you to create, learn or express yourself, they want you to consume, stay complacent and never have a thought or opinion they can’t monitor or don’t approve of. It was only a matter of time before they took the final few steps to turn Minecraft into just another soulless vehicle to sell merchandise/microtransactions and nothing more.

You've really convinced me here. I never really considered how often there would be some big chasm in deus ex or half life where in real life it would be easy to just pull hundreds of cubic meters of dirt out of my ass, throw it in the air in front of me, then walk over my structurally stable 1x1x200m dirt bridge. I also remember getting lost in the catacombs in deus ex while being chased and thinking "there's no good reason I shouldn't be able to dig through the walls of this WWII bunker with my bare hands, that's what would come naturally to me if I was really in this situation".

And invisible unkillable enemies? Most pleb games like halo would consider those bugs and their retard players would ask "Why couldn't I just kill them?". Not to mention all these shitty games with fall damage. Don't they know you can just put a water source block down for a second then ride the water down? Just think of how many people we could've saved on 9/11 if we had just mandatory source water blocks on each floor.

P.S. based homostuck enjoyer. Very cool.
