Minecraft

A concerning pattern I've noticed recently is
>literallywho-tuber with a wholesome chungus derp skin
>high quality if over-edited video highlighting commonly held criticisms of the game
>proposes solutions
>actually I'm gonna MOD IT MYSELF* (soypog)
>*pays a modder or two to slap together said mod with features that other mods have done up to a decade earlier and with better quality control
>locks the mod behind a patreon with an exorbitant monthly fee so zoomzooms will forget mommy's credit card is being charged for a mod that isn't being updated, violating Mojang's EULA in the process

Does basedmods respect takedowns? If not I'm going to spread these faggot's mods everywhere.

Edit: Kemono is ahead of the game, uploaded JetStarfish's scam to basedmods, looking for Whimzee's patreon in the meantime
So it's not just me!
I even got a shoutout.

Bonus points if they try and sell it as the only way they can release the mod, as if services like Mediafire don't exist and ignoring the fact Patreon lets you make free posts that anyone can see.

Somehow that's even more absurd, modrinth and curseforge exist.

I haven't played Minecraft in a while. I started playing Tekkit 2 last year but I'm not really sure how to progress any further in the mod. The wiki's unfinished and it has some differences.

I may be wrong but I don't remember the launcher having a 40-second loading screen until now. Did they somehow add bloat to the launcher or do they just want to show everyone the loading screen they made?

I don't use the vanilla launcher

shoutout to those 2D animations looking nothing like the actual game because they're not made by the actual graphics staff/vice versa

Fun story about the artist:
He's a troon and Nicalis almost hired him for (another) remake of Cave Story that looked fucking appalling.
I think my "favourite" part is how the gunsmith got turned into a mid-2010s double fine character.

Man. All roads lead to the tranny personality type, don't they?

Love watch towers, just tall wooden towers to begin with. Comfy, reminds me of a Firewatch tower.
I’m also going to copy it. It’s an awesome design.
Same, maybe see if I can add some slight details here and there. "You can copy my homework but not too closely" style.

What specifically are you having trouble with? Probably worth looking into each mod to see the end game rather than looking for information on Tekkit 2 as a whole. Also probably watch a playthrough and see what they do.

Just unsure of how to progress in a streamlined manner. It takes ages to build new stuff and I'm unsure of how to do other stuff like brewing. I've gotten a set of carbon armour and a jetpack, but they frequently need recharging. Last thing, I was trying to work on an oil pump system, but the heat-exchanger just didn't seem to work

I uh...can't be of much help. Me and tech go together like Sodium Nitrate and water in an orphanage for gingers. Again I can only really recommend looking at each individual mod and how to progress in that first. And/or watch playthroughs to get a rough idea.
Any recommendations on tech modpacks?
Tekkit 2 :smug: On a more serious note, depends on what kind of tech modpack you want. Super complex or only a handful. If the former, you might just want a modpack built around a single tech mod like Gregtech (God that shit is nightmarish, don't touch Gregtech 6 btw) or omnifactory/Nomifactory. For the latter, again that comes in its own subcategory. Do you want a theme or just a bunch of tech mods thrown together, you can have both but that's rare since modpacks are usually just slapped together. Some good ones I remember "trying" and hearing good things about is stuff like Project ozone 3, Enigmatica (Expert with you want more difficulty), I hear FTB Academy is good if you're new, and if you noticed I mostly mentioned older modpacks.

Ok, I have found a good example of what I mean when I refer to block vomit:
Essentially what she is doing is taking an image and using it as a colour refrence to make a building, completely ignoring what that block is. Dirt paths don't need every type of brown block to be apart of it and it makes no sense to put 5 different types of glazed terracotta on the roof. If I wanted to make a painting in minecraft then I would go make some pixel art or some map art. The closest shit I have to this is my paths but that makes way more sense to be there.

I will once again refer to _gerg's video on this:

I always find it annoying when I look up tips to make my builds look better only to be told to obtain fifty different uncommon and rare blocks that half the time require silk touch to obtain.
