Tried someone's modpack, failed to launch instantly so that's usually an immediate deletion but I tend to check the crash log in case it's an easy fix. Was reading the error which was incredibly unhelpful so I went to exit out of notepad and saw that at the top of the crash log. I don't know if it's a mod or the modpack itself but either way I'm not touching that shit again. It might be optifine though as it was an old modpack and someone had a similar error. Might not even be "haha loli" pedo shit but just the name of a script or something pronouced "Lo-les" or "law-lis".

You have encountered LoliASM/CensoredASM's Crashlog presence flag. Depending on the pack it may be present due to being a common dependency for many mods this late in the 1.12 modding scene, or simply for performance/bugfix reasons. It's especially prevalent due to being a dependency of MixinBooter, for example
It's bleak.

Welcome to the blight of 1.12.2 modding. Unfortunately LoliASM is a solid optimization mod that's used by every possible modpack for a reason, but the dev is an open pedophile that will force his fetish into your face.

There was a fork that aimed to remove the pedoshit from it, but it's mostly dead. However, SKMedix, a Polish dev of a cracked launcher I used to use before paying Microsoft for Minecraft like a retard, and before Lenny made PolyMC cracked, seems to have a more up-to-date fork of it. The newest version of his NormalASM fork is 5.23 while the newest version of LoliASM on Curseforge is 5.26, so it's not super up-to-date to the upstream but definitely up-to-date enough for most, and I can only assume once LoliASM releases the 6.0 rewrite, so will SKMedix with his NormalASM fork.

It'll be your best bet if you want to avoid seeing the word "Loli" in the main menu or in the crash logs, since that's the only egregious part of what Rongmario's mod does.

I'm trying to find an old Minecraft video I remember seeing around 10 years. It was about the Notch vs Yogscast controversy (IIRC the Yogscast slipped up and swore on stage at a Live Minecraft event with a lot of children attending, that and several other reasons led to spat on Twitter, where Notch allegedly told some kid to fuck off after asking for a signature from him and then one from the Yogscast) and in the video, there was some British guy with a severely autistic voice (if you don't know what I mean, listen to ElectricalBeast) and I remember him giving instructions to build a giant N for "Naughty Notch" out of TNT in your Minecraft world and blow it up.

The word "Loli" in the main menu and in the crash logs, which in itself can be classified as such. That's it, and if you want to avoid it, SKMedix's fork of NormalASM is the most up to date one there is, with NormalASM doing only one thing: removing any reference to the word "loli" from the mod.

I dug a little into it, found NormalASM and will be using that when I use a 1.12.2 pack again.

Works for me. To be sure I made a fresh PolyMC instance without my MS account and it allowed me to access the multiplayer menu both in 1.12.2 and 1.21.4 when using an offline account, so it's not version related either.

So after a discussion with a friend regarding Vintage Story, it got me reminiscing about the Alpha and Beta stages of Minecraft, since the game has been so thoroughly feature-crept to the point that there's no reason to do anything anymore, now that you can fully automate everything and can farm infinite resources by abusing spawning mechanics. So, I decided to boot up a world in an Alpha version, and it's honestly quite refreshing, both in how much simpler the game is, as well as the fact that you actually have to play the fucking game.

No setting up Iron Golem farms to drip-feed you infinite iron.
No Auto-breeding and Auto-cooking Chickens for infinite chicken and feathers.
No dicking around with sticks for four hours, manipulating Villager trades to get full-enchanted Diamond Armor from nothing.
No Mending enchantments killing any reason to gather resources, explore the world, and build new equipment.
No Elytras killing any reason to build infrastructure and new outposts to travel the world and ship resources.

You want your resources? You're gonna have to work for it, bitch.

Yeah, my house is kinda trash, but it's the best I can do given the much more limited block palette and the resources I have available.
